Hi MasG, after re-reading my original post, i think i was not clear enough. yesi am able to rename via the webgui/dashboard. But i want to be able to do this via API, as we try to use automation first approach. Reqarding to stacks, i can create or delete them via API, not update them. Therefor my question how to get this API endpoint at the developer roadmap Yoeri

Good day all, with the introduction of the auto-stacking option, when a switches are is physical connected to each other to form a stack which is not defined upfront in dashboard, it will be auto-created, which is a great feature if you ask me. During this process it the auto created stack gets a general name like Stack-01 or something similar. We try to automate the Meraki deployment more and more. Also stacks was part of it, where i was able to set the stack name when creating the stack. But after this, it is not possible to update the stack name via API. ( it is possible via webgui) So when a auto created stack with standardized name is already there, i have not option to rename it via API according to customers naming convention. How or via which road, do i get "updating Stack Hostname" as a feature on the API roadmap? thanks in advance Yoeri

Hi All, today a colleague noticed that when creating MX L3 outbound FW rules, the Vlan object option was unavailable to select. after some digging between networks where it is available the only differences I could find is related to Single Unit (standalone MX setup, where the option is visible and configurable) vs a MX HA setup ( 2MX's, option not visible) I also tried to set it via the API, but this gives errors on the networks with HA setup, where with single MX setup it works fine. Anyone else noticed? Is this a bug or what could be the reason why in HA setup the MX FW L3 are not capable of using Vlan objects? (me and my colleague where unable to think of any reason) As it is not a dealbreaker yet, I didn't raise a ticket for this one. (yet) Hope someone could point me in right direction. with regards Yoeri

Hi @Greenberet I use SDK 1.37 just checked it, i tried to refer, even hardcoded, my editor ( VSCode) tells me that function is not in module. i just digged in the function of the SDK, and indeed it is allready in there, so probaly my editor is messing up. i look to editor first from now on! Thanks so much.

Hi All, i hope i overlooked it together with a colleage, but we are unable to find the function in the Python Meraki SDK to view or set the MS STP setting / Root bridge priority values. We are looking for the function that uses this API endpoint ( https://developer.cisco.com/meraki/api-v1/get-network-switch-stp/ ) (GET and PUT) version. Of course i could use the api endpoint directly but as 99% of our automation for Meraki rely on the SDK i prefer to stick with it. hope someone can point to the right function, or that Meraki devs could make it available in the SDK

As mentioned by @DarrenOC, go for a per subnet radius client entry on you radius solution. Radius attributes like NAS ID / Type etc...... cant be used for the authentication of the radius session itself, it will be used when the radius session correctly configured and working, mainly to filter client connection like SSID, connection speed, wireless capabilities, so you can make very specific authorization rules for the clients as radius results. The only way to use 1 IP for all clients, but in my not the way to go is place as close to the radius server a NAT device who translates al requests, but this makes troubleshooting a real pain in the....... ( to be filled in to you favorite 🙂 ) Also one common practice as we do a lot of Cisco Blue / Meraki or hybrid setups with radius ( mainly Cisco ISE), we make 2 mgmt vlans, one for the switches and other for the AP's per location, this to make the radius differences between types easier from ISE/Radius perspective. Hi all, We are currently trying tot develop scripts that pushes L7 country blocking values for the Security Appliances. In the GUI, a full list with full names of the countries is visible. When using the API we need push a list of these countries but with their short names. Is there an overview of all countries: "full name" - "short notation". ??? I am aware that on the internet multiple of these lists exists, but the are not consistent, so before setting a short notation which could potentially refer to other country that i ment...... 🙂 funny to see, for the L7 application blocking, we could retrieve a full list of the references via api. this would be great if this exists for countries as well.s Thanks in advance. with regards Yoeri
