IPads Turning off at Login - 1 user of 7

Hi, I have SM Meraki installed on 7 ipads and I have 7 users. All users should be able to log into any ipad without any issue and this was the case until today. Now, when 1 user tries to login, the IPad shuts off. This occurs no matter what IPad the user tries to log into, which leads me to think this is a Meraki issue, not an IPad issue. This user, has logged into the ipads before and did not have any issues. I have tried re-imaging the ipad's and had the user log into the newly re-imaged IPad and the same thing happened. I had another user log into the IPad and the user was fully able to log in and complete the SM setup. If anyone has any advice, please pitch in!!   TIA!! Jason ... View more

Managed ID & Apple ID

Hi All, Here is what I have done: 1. I have a Apple Business Manager account 2. 4 devices enrolled in DEP through an authorized reseller. 3. Network created and devices added to MDM 4. Managed ID's created 5. Apple VPP account linked 6. Setting created for Shared devices 7. iPad's turned on and setup for each user. Users can log into any of the 4 devices with their credentials   What is happening: 1. Meraki SM DEP shows device is active, enrolled in DEP, supervised, monitored, checking in etc.   What is not happening:  1. Once logged into the iPad's, I go to settings, it does state in the upper left corner "This iPad is supervised and managed by X". However, under General the Device Management button to indicate Meraki Systems Manager is installed is not there. 2. In SM, i select DEP then select an iPad. Scroll to "Profiles" and see Meraki System Manager is installed. However the app is not present on the home screens 3. No apps are being pushed as per pic below   Question: 1. Can i have each staff member log into their individual profiles and receive apps, pushed by me without them having to put in personal icloud/Apple ID's? (Currently, the Apple ID being displayed on their account is the managed ID) 2. If I can not push apps to each individual user without them inserting their personal apple ID, can i create a apple ID (like a kids profile, with permissions coming from the parent) and put that apple ID on each device so apps will pull down?   Thanks for your help!! Re: Remote Management Username & Password

So, i've been away from this post for a few days doing trail and error and have learned a few things. From comments in this thread I see this is not an issue I created but a Meraki create error (now i don't feel as dumb...just dumb that i wasted 3-4 days of vacation trying to find what I done that created the issue).   So, I suspect this issue was created to solve another problem. Ensuring a user has company credentials, ensures that if a porch pirate robs a new iPad from a staff members porch, the pirate can not enter the device.....or thats what I think anyway.   As @BrianBuchanan and others have stated, the work around is to go to system manager (i done so on a Macbook), owners and create an ID.   BrianBuchanan's basically did the same as I determined solved this issue (for us) Our workaround is 1. System Manager, Owners 2. Add Owner 3. Full Name: a 4. E-mail:   a@a.com 5. Username: a 6. Password: a   Entering   a@a.com with the password a at the Remote Management screen gets past that. ... Remote Management Username & Password

I have 4 devices enrolled in Apple Business Manager and Meraki DEP. I setup all 4 devices and profiles were pushed. The profiles installed however the managed Apple ID's I created could not install the free apps I had selected.   While trying to figure this issue out, I changed some settings. Now when factory reset or push a profile down to an IPad, I get asked by Remote Management for a Username and Password. I've determined this was in SM-Configuration- General-End User Authorization Settings and Owners. I've created usernames and passwords for the 3 staff which now pushes me through this stage. However, now the devices show up and unsupervised and I get told the Apple ID's can not download apps.   Basically at a complete loss on how to reset the general configurations to factory defaults. I can not select Disabled: deprecated, configure in SM Enrolment Settings.   I want to send IPads to staff, the IPad's turn on and pull down the profile and free apps I have identified. Nothing fancy 🙂   Any help would be greatly appreciated!! ... View more
