I had a similar problem in the past, a factory reset (reset button 10sec) of the MX solved the problem.

you can create a group policy and apply this to the client directly. You can find this in the documentation: Creating and Applying Group Policies - Cisco Meraki Documentation regrads

Hi, at the moment there is no SFP28 from Meraki itself, you have to take the Cisco modules. Attention, it is only supported from a certain firmware. Small-Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) and Stacking Accessories - Cisco Meraki Documentation *Note: The SFP28/QSFP28 modules will be orderable March 2024 with software support in CS16.7. 25Gbps Dashboard support is slated for CS17 firmware. 25Gbps optics can be used in CS16.8, but should be considered 'Beta'. When you plan to use the active direct attached cables I would recommend to ask your Meraki sales responsible first.

I would't say easier, it's different. 😃 When you configure a regular IPsec peer you won't have a redundancy when using physical WAN addresses. When you use the VIP the IPsec tunnel can move to the secondary MX.

Hi, Use MX uplink IPs: When using this option, the current Active MX will use its distinct uplink IP or IPs when sending traffic out to the Internet. This option does not require additional public IPs for Internet-facing MXs, but also results in more disruptive failover because the source IP of outbound flows will change. Use virtual uplink IPs: When using this option, both MXs will use a shared virtual IP (VIP) when sending traffic out to the Internet. This option requires an additional public IP per uplink but allows for seamless failover because the IP address the network is using to communicate with the Internet will be consistent. The VIP for each uplink must be in the same subnet as the IPs of the MXs themselves for that uplink, and the VIP must be different from both MX uplink IPs. you will find more information in the documentation: MX Warm Spare - High-Availability Pair - Cisco Meraki Documentation

Hi, it depends which License model you have active in your organizations. If you have per device licensing in both orgs, than you can do all by yourself and you don't need someone from support to transfer the license or hardware to the other organization. Yes, you have to remove both MXs from the network in the old organization, than move it to the new org and add it to a new network... so you have to build a new cluster and configuration in the new network. regards

Hi, you need to implement a transfer network (can be a /30 subnet) and configure a static route on each MX. regards

Hey, problem was that the Client Balancing behavior changed with MR29.1 Version. https://documentation.meraki.com/MR/Other_Topics/Client_Balancing#Client_Balancing_Behavior_-_MR_29.X_and_Newer_Firmware For some reason the client flapped between two AccessPoints and because of that the client did send a lot of DHCP Requests, Discovers and DHCP Decline messages... I turned off Client Balancing and it seems to be OK.

Hi, I know that clients will do a DHCP request when they roam and that it is possible to that a different IP is in the request... but in my environment this should not be the case. The main problem I have is that sometimes clients request IPs and they immediately lose it and take another one. This happens 3-4 times till the client claimes his IP... The old IP Address are marked as Bad Address in the DHCP Server scope. The only log I see in the same time as this happens to random clients in my wifi are the above 2 log messages.

Hello community, I have many of these log entries in my connection logs: Client made a request to the DHCP server, but the DHCP server rejected the client's request. Client made a request to the DHCP server, but it did not respond I was already able to rule out the DHCP server because I initially used the Windows DHCP and later the DHCP server of a Meraki MX. I have this issues on the following MR Versions: MR29.4.1 MR29.5.1 I recognized this logs only with Windows clients, but I don't have many others in my network so I can not really enclose... Does anyone else have these problems? regards Daniel
