Hey Bob, The 10.0.0.0/8 IP you're receiving via the wireless subnet is due to the Wireless address translation mode under Advanced Settings of the SSID you're configuring. When this is enabled for NAT mode, clients connecting to the SSID will receive an IP in that range. Once you change and save this setting in Bridge mode; clients connected to the GR will get an IP from the device handing out DHCP within your wired LAN. Be sure that 10.11.0.0/16 is created on that device with your desired VLAN. Regards,

Hey Kitty77, This could be due to a number of things, but first I'd suggest confirming if you or your client devices are losing Internet connectivity when the alert is seen within the Meraki GO app. The app's communication with the device may be the issue, resulting in a false positive error message. Sometimes we find that clearing the app's cache can help here if there is no client impact experienced in regards to reaching the Internet. Are you already troubleshooting with us on a case to ensure we're taking the best next steps? Regards,

Actually it seems that traffic is allowed but causing latency and lots of notifications on my app, tens atm. I´ll share info via support.

I have a full stack of Meraki Go and Meraki equipment. The Go access point does not have scheduling or most of the features of a MR. That said, you can create an isolated guest network, set usage limits and get email notification when equipment goes off line. The firewall subscription gives you Cisco Umbrella, but you cannot disable content filtering. There is no Snort for traffic inspection, but there are layer 7 rules in the access point. The switches support POE, and cable testing, but not isolation. I know this is just a smattering comparison. Let me know if you have any specific questions. - Dave

Hey OS-Cubed! At this time Meraki GO APs don't support extending the LAN in this manner; Only wireless traffic will pass from the remote site and the wired traffic would get dropped before passing over the air gap. Cheers, Dom Wilkins

Hi redcrxss, Meraki GO doesn't support manual configurations for DNS at this time; All clients connected to Meraki GO equipment will end up using the DNS servers configured on the Meraki GO access point if using NAT mode or the upstream device handing out DHCP to your clients. Hey Scott! The Meraki Go app does allow you to enter the serial number instead of scanning the QR code on the device. You do still have the ability to configure the AP within the app prior to giving it Internet connectivity for it to check-in successfully. Cheers, Dom Wilkins

Hey Eddie! GR APs and MR APs are configured and managed from two separate Dashboards. GR devices are configured within the Meraki Go app that can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or Apple's App Store. Cheers, Dom Wilkins

Hi Dom, Yeah, licences vary massively in delivery time - hardware comes next day but in my experience I've waited up to 3 weeks for the licensing to come through (have tried Insight, Ebuyer, Broadband Buyer etc.), which if you're recommending a product, isn't great. I've already waited 5 days for these ones to arrive, I'll wait longer :-). Cheers Russ

Chiming in to confirm that Roska is correct; There is a limit of 20 Meraki Go APs per account and the APs that will be meshing do not have to be wired; however the root AP is typically wired in this scenario.

Hey Berny! I know you're seeking an answer from someone that has experienced using the external splash page with the same number of users, but I can definitely say there should be no problem with the GR AP redirecting that many users over time as long as they aren't all connected to a single GR at the same time. As long as your server is able to support the number of connections you're seeking, the GRs will continue to redirect clients to the configured URL pointing to your server. Cheers, Dom

Hey Steven! Meraki Go APs should only give out IP addresses in the 10.x.x.x space if the SSID is configured as a Guest network; Otherwise the AP should be bridging your client to the local wired network to provide it the same addressing being served by your upstream device. If you don't recognize the 10.20.73.x address from anywhere else in your network and if there is no current SSID configured as a Guest network, please create a case with us via the app so we can help you track down who is serving this address range. Hey Steven! Meraki Go APs will default to Gateway-mode, but they'll come online as repeaters for one of two reasons; Either the physical connection is currently failing between the AP and its connected switch port, or the AP has been unable to obtain an IP address to reach the Internet through its upstream device and reverts to a mesh connection. Please feel free to create a case with us via the app if you have trouble locating a solution to bringing your APs online with the physical connection. Cheers, Dom
