I had a contractor remove cameras from a building that is being torn down and rebuilt. Normally the back plate will pop off but in this instance, it feels stuck. Does anyone have any ideas on removing the backplate so I can reuse this camera? It is an MV 12W.

Does anyone know or have a place to purchase replacement parts for the Meraki MV cameras (ie covers, back plates, etc)? Every site that I go to either is out of stock or says the product is end of its life and no longer available. Odd that the cameras would still be selling but you are not able to find any replacement parts. Does anyone know if the MV 12W and other models are being replaced with a newer or different camera?

I have updated the browser. Weird thing is that I am able to view it with out issue on chrome. I am using a Windows device. The user is using a Mac and I have tested it on a Mac as well without issue.

I have a user who uses Chrome to view the cameras for his school. When he tries to view the DPTZ option for the MV 32, it produces an error Video Tab failed to load. We tried the access the same camera using Safari browser and it worked without issue. I did an update with the chrome browser and that did not help. Any suggestions?

This is an issue mainly in my middle and high schools. Because there are so many classrooms that have Apple TVs, it takes a while to scroll and find the correct one when the Apple TV has been rebooted or updated. Most of the classrooms have their Apple TV advertised to connect easily, however, in those instances where is it not showing, scrolling takes time to locate and sometimes it takes a couple of refreshes to connect. I was thinking that it may be easier if the Apple TV is associated to the Ap in the classroom for easier searching and connecting.

I am on 5.1 and all of my cameras are back online. However, I am not able to go back and view footage from 5 minutes ago. When I try, I get the message video offline. I moved each of the cameras to a separate module on the switch. I am nervous about moving to a new firmware because when I did previously, I had about 20 cameras across my networks that took multiple weeks to finally come back online. I ended up having to replace some.

Anyone had cameras to keep bouncing? I have some cameras that they are only drawing the default PoE and their LLDP neighbor information is incomplete, something tells me they are never quite finishing the boot process before they decide to reboot again, hence all the port bouncing. Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

Good morning. Has anyone encountered where the dashboard is not updating with current network information. I had some cameras go offline and I had the switch rebooted and the cameras got new IP addresses, but on the dashboard, the cameras are still showing the old IP addresses. I also have some cameras offline that are showing offline but I am able to see video from them on the video wall. Any updates I am missing?

After missing a feature that was on firmware 4.18 which included network port identification. After being upgraded to firmware version 5.0 that feature went missing. I put in a ticket and was told to upgrade to the beta version of 5.1 to get the network information back. I set the update to run last night and all of my cameras came back up but a few on different networks. I am able to ping the IP address, and I am able to see video (although a couple of the cameras have been flipped), but on the dashboard, those cameras are showing offline. I have submitted a ticket to Meraki about this issue.

From what I understand they are working on resolving that issue. However, no ETA was given. The suggestion was to roll back to 4.18. If you rolled back to 4.19 or 4.20 you could possibly run into the same issue.

We are using Cisco 3850G switches, model of the cameras are MV72X, MV32, MV12W. Other sites that are showing are Lake Grove, Lake Oswego High, Forest Hills.

The message I am getting once I sign is: the page isn't redirecting properly An error occurred during a connection to the site. This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies. This happens on chrome, edge, and firefox. I have the account setup as monitor-only, could that be the issue?

I created a user account and once I sign in, I am getting the redirected you too many times message. This account I have set up to monitor only as it will be used to sign in in the front office space to look at the video walls for this school.
