Hello, I had a discussion with a Meraki SE yesterday and he confirmed that the licenses can´t be transferred from the MSP to a customer. The hardware can be sold but the licenses needs to be re-purchased so the customer has to be weary about when in time an exit from a managed service is a good idea.

Hello, I´ve got a partner that has a managed services set up. From time to time customers change their mind and wants to control their own environment ie leavning the managed services. They then typically want to purchase the equipment they are using and the licenses with it. How is this transfer done? BR Andreas

Hello Connor, yes, I´ve seen that doc as well. I think the compability goes for the MS410 as such ie the SFP ports. The MS410 also has 2 or 4 10 Gbps, SFP+ ports. Question here is does the MA-SFP-1GB-TX work with the SFP+ ports. I´m in doubt. BR Andreas

Hi, I wonder if it would be enough to add one MA-ANT-25 to a MR76 AP to run both 2.4 and 5 band. The MA-ANT-25 has two connectors, one for the 2.4 and one for the 5 band. What would the implication be if I choose to only use either the vertical or horizontal ports on the AP? Thanks BR Andreas

Hi, I´m checking the details on integrations with the MX and found that to integrate with Threat Grid a separate license is required. In the Advanced Security license features Threat Grid is not listed and I´m now trying to find a SKU for the Threat grid license. No luck so far. Do you have a great document with ordering guides? Hi Dave, I think then there should be a note in the datasheet regarding maximal consumption vs general consumption specially if it is an absolute maximum value. From the installation guide. https://documentation.meraki.com/MR/Installation_Guides/MR42E_Installation_Guide The MR42E will function in low power mode when powered by a 802.3af power source. While in low power mode, the MR42E will disable its Air Marshal radio as well as two out of three transmit streams on the 2.4 Ghz band. Despite being in low power mode, the device can still supply full 802.11ac capabilities. BR Andreas

Hi, I´m wondering if there are any limitation when powering APs MR42E with a MS120-24p. The MR42E requires 20W and the MS120-24p has a poe budget of 370W. This would suffice if there is no Watt limit on the ports so that one specific port can´t deliver more poe than up to a cirtain level. I have found poe budget documents but nothing about limits the ports. Just wanted to make sure that the choosen switch is not to weak. I have been looking at MS120-48fp that has poe+ and 740W. Hi, When you set it up, did you then use a WAN connection the first time or did you set it up directly with 4G? The set up is process is important since there is no WAN connection today at all. This unit is supposed to be used as the first link out for the new sites

Hi, I´ve recieved a question regarding a router for 4G and Wifi for 2 sites where there are no WAN connectivity with fiber. I though of using the MX68cw to use as router for this use case. The MX68cw has LTE as failover and I wanted to use it as primary connection. Is it possible to use it like I want or am I just wrong? We discussed configuring the MX68cw at a site were there is a Wan connection and then ship it to the new sites. Any feedback is welcome. BR Andreas

Hello, Which possibilities are there for local, on box, troubleshooting on a MX device? If a device looses it´s connectivity due to a port failure or power outage. How does a network engineer pull the data loggs from a faulty MX device locally if there is now possibilty to reach the device by using the dashboard? Situation: Customer (Hotel) has Meraki based network and partner who manage this network, but customer as well wants some other partner to provide television services in hotel through existing infrastructure (Meraki).
