@PhilipDAth is correct here. There are no "upgrade" license SKUs for the vMX sizes. If you currently have a small vMX deployed and would like a large vMX, you will have to purchase a large license and deploy a new instance for the large vMX.

Hey Stask! The Z3's do have to be in their own individual networks, the same as our MX appliances. If you're looking to manage these networks in bulk, I'd definitely recommend using configuration templates to help with the configs at scale. There have been some great comments by other community members so far, but I also just want to let you know that if you're using the Dashboard throughput tool it can give you potentially unreliable data. More info on why can be found in this doc: https://documentation.meraki.com/General_Administration/Tools_and_Troubleshooting/Throughput_test_to_the_Cisco_Meraki_Dashboard#Comparing_to_Similar_Throughput_Tests To summarize. The dashboard throughput test can show lower speeds than you'd expect because it uses Meraki management traffic, which has the lowest priority compared to your production network traffic. Also, it's only testing throughput to the Meraki cloud, which may be different from your actual client throughput out to the internet. What results do you get if you just run a normal throughput test using something public like speedof.me on a wireless client? -Donovan

Hey RumorConsumer! What model AP is it? And when you say claimed, you mean claimed into a network? Or just claimed to your dashboard inventory? I'd also suggest a factory reset like CptCrnch. If you want, you can connect to the setup SSID and then navigate to "setup.meraki.com" in your web browser to hit the APs local status page, it may tell you that it's having trouble connecting back to the Meraki cloud, and you can double-check the uplink configuration as well to see if it still has an uplink IP set. -Donovan

Hi seanmathias! At this time API calls related to licensing are only available for Per-Device Licensing organizations as you've already noticed. There's no word on if there will be endpoints for Co-Term organizations in the future, but I encourage you to make-a-wish on the dashboard so that our API development team can see that this is something our end-users are looking for. Hey adten! Method 1 in the documentation UCcert linked is gonna be your best bet. Meraki spoke configurations point to a particular hub network on the dashboard, and ultimately don't care which model MX is within that network. As long as you add the new MX450 to the same network that the old MX100 was in, all of the spokes will re-negotiate their tunnels to the Public IP and Port of the new MX450. Overall the only change that is made is which hardware serial is claimed to your Hub network and turning VPN back "on" for that network, the spoke configurations will be left alone. Hi Johnnyngena, You can tell your MX appliance to export URL logging via Syslog by assigning the "URLs" role in the Dashboard Syslog configuration. Hey Johnnyngena! The Meraki Dashboard reports content filtering event logs (among others) in the Network Wide -> Event Log on the dashboard. Events are stored in this log for up to 3 months. If extended historical logging is necessary, you will need to implement a Syslog server and have your Meraki hardware export to it. This will allow you to store events beyond 3 months. Hey Eric! Dashboard Networks are containers for device configurations, so the only way to set up an MX config would be to create the network where that config (and eventual MX) will be located. However, Meraki hardware does not need to be added to the network in order to set up your configuration, so you can pre-stage your entire network configuration without claiming or adding an MX serial into the network. If you want the MX to download and run that config, its hardware serial must be claimed into the network, the device powered up, and then allowed to communicate with the Meraki cloud, at which point it will auto-configure itself based on the network it's been claimed to and the configuration in that network. Looks like the AP is losing cloud connectivity due to poor signal quality for the mesh link. Are you able to move the repeater closer to the gateway AP to see if it stabilizes? That or maybe tweak how the external antennas are attached to make sure they have a direct line of sight with the gateway AP. If you can't move anything, Meraki support will at least be able to confirm if my theory is true so it's worth opening up a case with them.

Hey Greg, It looks like at this time there's no way to do a shared iPad deployment while also disabling the Guest Mode feature separately. -Donovan Edit: It looks like Apple has recently introduced the ability to do this, but, we have not implemented it yet into our solution. I actively encourage you to submit a feature request for this ability via the "make a wish" box on the dashboard so that our Product team is made aware that we have a demand for this functionality.

Hi Greg! In order for an iPad to restrict Guest Mode / Temporary Session, it will need to be DEP enrolled with the "Shared iPad" DEP setting left *unchecked*. If your iPads have already been enrolled via a non-DEP method, you will have to factory reset them and then re-enroll them via DEP and apply a DEP profile that disables the shared iPad setting. The following documentation overviews how to set up and enroll devices via DEP: https://documentation.meraki.com/SM/Device_Enrollment/Apple_Device_Enrollment_Program_(DEP) There's a section within this doc labeled "Assigning Settings" that shows how to leave Shared iPad config disabled. @GaryShainberg What is the Native VLAN of the trunk ports they're cabled into, and what VLAN are you placing this SSID on? I'd recommend doing packet captures on the AP, switch, and DHCP server port to see what's happening to the clients DHCP discovers. That's going to be the quickest way to narrow down where the issue is occurring. -Donovan

Hi Gary! For the AP that you were testing the connection on, what is the switch port configuration for the port the AP is cabled into? Also, do you have Client IP assignment set to Bridge Mode or NAT mode on the SSID? If you could include a screenshot of the VLAN configuration for the SSID that would also be appreciated.
