In the Profiles > Notifications section, if one adds an app to this list, the options under "Alert type" are None, Banner, and Modal alert. I'm trying to figure out how exactly that translates to an iPhone, as there's no Modal option within any of the notifications on an iPhone itself.

Yeah I reached out to Verizon's business support line and they were basically clueless. For the hell of it, I created a copy of our main Profile (but with the Restrictions setting removed), and this Call Forwarding option still doesn't appear there.

iPhone XR running iOS 13.3 on Verizon (with latest version of Meraki Systems Manager app installed). Normally, a user is able to go into Settings > Phone > Call Forwarding, and change the forwarding number. However, on this device that Call Forwarding option is missing entirely. I've ensured the feature is enabled on Verizon's end, and the option shows up before the device is enrolled in Systems Manager, so I'm guessing Systems Manager is the issue somehow? But I can't find any settings or places to modify such a thing within the Meraki Dashboard.

Hey Haley - I don't have a solid answer sadly, but my best suggestions are to Systems Manager > Overview, and under Sync Status to manually resync each item you have connected. However, since you mentioned it's asking for a password; is it an iCloud/Apple ID password? If so, the previous owner/user will have to put their password in to sign out of the device (otherwise, it's locked until you do so).

@BlakeRichardson @alexis_cazalaa this seems to be the most likely case. This device was purchased used 3rd party sadly, so there's not much else to be done I imagine. But, and please correct me if I'm wrong, it sounds like there's still a great deal of control over this device regardless, and it shouldn't cause any problems - does that sound about right? @BlakeRichardson - ahh I see, interesting. Is there any downside to doing it this way? I mean it will clearly still show up as both Supervised and in Systems Manager, which is great of course. But I'm curious if you've noticed any adverse effects compared to devices that are enrolled in DEP. I can't thank you again/enough too for all the help!

@BlakeRichardson - I am able to enroll the device into Systems Manager manually, but it's still showing up as unsupervised. These are all devices that had to be manually enrolled in DEP via Apple Configurator (and so far were successful), it's just this particular device that doesn't want to enroll in DEP (manually or otherwise) or some reason.

Hello! I've been manually enrolling iPhones/iPads into DEP and Meraki via Apple Configurator 2.7.1 - so far no issues. However, I just came across an iPhone 6s (same as the other models that are already enrolled) that is giving me problems when trying to Prepare it in Configurator. It gets to the stage (2 or 3) and then gives the following: Provisional Enrollment failed. The cloud configuration server is unavailable or busy. [MCCloudConfigErrorDomain – 0x80EF (33007)] I've done a few Google searches on it, but am still coming up short on answers. Again, I'm following all the same steps and profiles that have previously worked with other iPhones that have successfully enrolled/etc. EDIT: I am able to manually enroll it into Meraki, but it is of course showing up as unsupervised.

Hey Blake! I have tried this, sadly it did not fix it. I even tried removing the Home Screen Layout setting all together and rebuilding it from scratch, but the issue persists. I have to wonder if it's some kind of restriction setting that is causing this, but I can't for the life of me figure out which one (if that's even the reason).

Hello! I've configured the Home Screen layout setting for one of our devices, and have put the TV app (looks like this) set to be in a folder along with a bunch of other system apps. All the system apps are going into the folder correctly, except for the TV app. I cannot for the life of me figure out why it won't go into the folder - I've already double/triple checked I'm adding the correct app to the list (com.apple.tv), yet it continues to sit on the main Home screen.

This is a weird one. We're using iCloud to backup a user's iPhone (unenrolled and unsupervised). From there, we're trying to then enroll/supervise the device into both DEP and Meraki (via Apple Configurator), which works successfully. However, when restoring from iCloud backup, this appears to remove the supervision. The device shows up in Systems Manager and on Apple Business Manager (under the MDM server, "Devices added by Apple Configurator 2"), but the iPhone shows no profiles installed on it, and Apple Configurator does not say the device is supervised. Browsing around online, there seems to be some kind of way around this (see here: https://www.jamf.com/jamf-nation/discussions/24019/backup-devices-before-wiping-and-enrolling-through-dep), but I can't quite figure out how to get this to work.
