Hello We have a small branch in the US that we deployed the following: SD-WAN - MX67 Switch - MS120 AP - MR44 Users need to connect to their workstation in the office from a remote location. Is Cisco Meraki Any Connect the only option?; their license is pretty expensive, and we need 10-15 users at max. What is the best practice to implement the product that meets our needs, please? I thought it was a prerequisite course to get started with the Meraki equipment My main goal is to get to know my equipment from the inside and be able to troubleshoot all issues But if you say that it`s a no brainer, than I`ll check the ECSM2 thanks man!

Hey A colleague of mine told me that the Cisco ECMS1 is free When I searched for it, I found that it costs money. (200USD) I have no problem paying but am trying to find other places to take the course. Does anyone know of external sites, such as Udemy \ Pluralsite, etc. that are passing this training? My goal is to get a good knowledge of Cisco Meraki products (specifically MX \ MR & MS products) Thank you very much!

Hey cmr thank you for your answer As I wrote to Joe, this is the first time I`m configuring VLANs, but I`m not sure that my configuration is correct What do you think? I wrote 3 questions on the side of the drawing, and I`m not sure that the cabling in the drawing is ok My goal is to learn as much as I can in order to be proficient in Meraki devices!

Hey Joe This is my first time configuring VLANs, and want to be sure that my configuration is described correctly I drew something, can you have a look and tell me if it seems ok? Moreover, do I need to configure VLAN 1 & 2 in both Switches? or only in the MX? I`m not sure that the cabling in the drawing is ok, if you will be able to have a look that would be awesome!

Hey We bought the MX75 for our new branch. I want to understand, what is recommended in terms of VLAN? our hardware is: 1 Unit of Meraki MX75 2 Units of Meraki MS120 4 Units of Meraki MR44 Access Points. Our company is SaaS-based (no internal servers at all) - all is in the cloud. Our branch doesn`t need a separate guest network.- no guests. 50% of users work on laptops, and the rest on Workstations. Is it recommended to configure 2 VLANs in the MX? One for Management with the rest of Meraki devices? (Switches & AP`s) Second VLAN - for users. Does that make sense? is it a must? I guess it will require me to log in to each device (MS \ MR) via Dashboard and configure them a static IP? or will they get an IP from the range of the VLAN? Any advice would be appreciated Thank you!

I understand, KarstenI What is your suggestion in terms of the Backup link? I just did a double-check, and we currently have a Primary ISP --> 200/200 Mbps line as for the Secondary ISP that I will take, what are your suggestions if I want it to be Active Active? a 100/50 line would be sufficient? Hey We just purchased the Meraki MX75; It will be connected to 2 ISP`s (for redundancy) What is the best practice in achieving the best redundancy? Our office contains approx 60 users at most (Will use VOIP \ AWS etc,) - no internal Servers, all is SaaS. My plan was the following: Primary ISP --> 500/500 Mbps line - will be connected to the MX via SFP (fiber) -Port 1 Secondary ISP --> 200/5 MBPS line - will be connected to the MX via RJ45 cable -Port 2 Does it make sense? Will it be active \ passive? Or is it preferred to connect both ISP to the MX via RJ45 (Port 2 & 3) Any advice would be helpful Thank you!

Joe In terms of redundancy: Did you mean that it would be best to connect each switch to the MX with a single RJ45 cable? and an additional RJ45 cable between the switches themselves? Isn't a bit of overhead? it would require me to configure the aggregation of 2 ports (1 per switch) isn't the virtual stacking enough? In terms of performance, what are the benefits of transporting traffic between: If a client resides on Switch A, and wants to access the internet, it needs to go through Switch B; as the next: Switch(A) --> Switch(B) -->MX --> Internet Isn't it better to have The Client resides on Switch A --> connected directly to MX --> Internet .? thank you for your time and very explained details mate Appericated

Thank you for the answer, Brandon. Tomorrow I`ll have the floor plans and according to that, I will know what materials we will have there. The users are 50% dev`s and 50% sales \ Marketing and have a lot of A/V conferences. 20% will use new workstations (connected via LAN), and the rest 80% are using wifi (MacBook Pro 2019-2021 models) So I guess we will have a mixed 2.4 \ 5ghz \ wifi 6 env` BTW, as per my understanding, it is suggested to place the MR44 on the walls, and not on the ceiling, is that correct? Since they have omnidirectional antennas. What are your thoughts man?

Hello We are moving to a new office within a few months. We bought 2 units of Meraki MS120-48LP Only after I Bought It, did I understand that it`s not stackable. We currently have a need for at least 70 ports across the compound. What is the best practice in terms of performance? and configuration of the MS series? Hello We are soon moving to a new office. The entire space would be 1200 Square meters in size. We will have 20 rooms and the reset would be open space \ lounge \ small boots, etc. Will 2 units of Meraki MR44 AP be sufficient for this space? or it is recommended to add more? All AP units will be connected to two MS120 switches & a Single MX75 router. Moreover, since the MS120 series is not stackable, what is the best practice in terms of connectivity? Thank you all!

Hello people I would appreciate your assistance in the following matter. We bought for our company the next hardware: Meraki MX75 Meraki MS120-48 Ports Meraki MR44 (Two Units) We currently have 100 users, but i want to plan ahead, in case the company will grow. I wsih to configure the DHCP in my MX to provide 300 ip addresses, and was wondering if the next configuration makes sense: IP Address: 192.168.0.1 Network Address: 192.168.0.0 Usable Host IP Range: 192.168.0.1 - 192.168.1.254 Broadcast Address: 192.168.1.255 Total Number of Hosts: 512 Number of Usable Hosts: 510 Subnet Mask: 255.255.254.0 IP Reservation Range: 192.168.0.1 - 192.168.0.40 DHCP Client Range: 192.168.0.41 - 192.168.1.254 Meraki MX (Router) - 192.168.0.1 Meraki MS (Switch) - 192.168.0.2 Meraki MR44 (First) - 192.168.0.5 Meraki MR44 (Second) - 192.168.0.6 Does this configuration look OK? The office is an open space, but we do have two conference rooms. The users will sit in a big area together. The router doesn't have a POE capability, so we did purchase a power supply for the AP. BTW what are the odds that we will need to open ports on the AT&T router? I'm afraid that the connection of the AP to the Meraki cloud won't be accessible Thank you for the reply
