I think I will go with the option of using VLAN 10 as the native VLAN (untagged) since that's what's already configured the other switches that are working and showing that the IPs are statically assigned. Only VLAN 5 & 10 are configured within the 3850 Catalyst switch.

VLAN 1 is not defined within the network. It is just listed as the Native VLAN for the uplink between the switches. VLAN 30 is mainly not in use VLANs configured on the MX

VLAN 5 (Voice) - 192.168.20.0/24 (DHCP from a Cisco 3945 ISR) VLAN 10 (Data) - 172.16.0.0/23 (DHCP from Windows Server 2016) 3850 Catalyst using Native VLAN 1 Originally I had configured the static VLAN to 10 but you have advised to change to Native VLAN 1. Changing to Native VLAN 1 solved my initial issue but then changing it to Native VLAN 1 on the other switch transfers the problem.

I changed the static VLAN to Native VLAN 1 and after rebooting the static IP Address Appeared. So thinking that this is the solution, I went ahead to change the static VLAN on the other switch that also had VLAN 10 to reflect this change. However, after changing to the NATIVE VLAN and rebooting the switch, I now have this switch being issued with DHCP IP address and the static IP that was present is not any more.

Hey, My DHCP Server has a reserved range of 172.16.1.1 - 30 and from within it the static IP Address is used for the switches and Access Points. DHCP is disabled on the switches.

I've got a troublesome switch that recent rebooted itself. After the reboot, the static IP that it is configured to use it not what is presently active. Instead its a DHCP issued IP. I've done several reboots and whenever its powered on it gets a new DHCP issued IP. What might be the cause How do I get the static issued IP address to work. This is the same switch that I recently reported as not properly powering on the Access Points attached to it. This issue is still pending. Thanks

The SSIDs were off. The LED lights on the APs were in a blinking mode. From the dashboard they were showing No connectivity. However once I changed the switch to which they were connected, the SSID was available and users could connect.

Yes, the ports showed they were supplying PoE. They are powered up.

I've got 5 MS130-48P switches working within the LAN. However yesterday, one of the switches went offline without any configuration change. This is the switch where the APs (MR44) are connected. After rebooting the switch came back online but all the APs are down. Other devices connected to the switch are on. Log shows the Port status change from designated -> disabled. The ports connected to the APs are Access Ports with RSTP enabled and STP guard disabled. When the APs are connected to the other switches they come online.

I've configured five MS130-48P switches to trust DAI. However, I still have DAI Blocked on one of switches in the events log. One of the switches initially connected and then disconnected with a message 'High Rate STP Topology Change'. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting to different ports but still having same issue. All the MS are configured with a trunk port that connects to a catalyst 3850 switch. Thanks

I've just taken delivery of 9 MR44. I've configured each to use static assigned IP Address but somehow these APs are collecting DHCP from the DHCP Server on the LAN. These AP are connected to MS130P switches. I've disabled DHCP on the switches. The MR36 that is also connected to the same switch is using the assigned static IP Address. Two of them are acting as repeaters. Any ideas why this might be the case? Thanks.

Present Scenario: I've got an MX84 SDWAN as the firewall and Default gateway. Connected to this is a Cisco 3945 ISR and a 3850 switch. The 3945 ISR is configured to be the Call Manager and issues out DHCP to the Cisco Desk phones. Also connected and configured is an ISDN Module. There are two vlans. Data and Voice The 3850 switch is configured as the backbone switch. Connected to this switch are five (5) 2960x Series switches. These switches connect the Access Points and LAN connections. The Access Points are configured via a Cisco 2500 WLAN Controller. There are nine (9) Access Points. Two (2) 3702I-A-K9 and seven (7) 1602I-C-K9 The 2960 switches have two ports configured as uplinks. Migration: I am taking delivery of five (5) MS130-48P switches and nine (9) MR-44 access points. Questions: Is it possible to have the MS130-48P switches as a call Manager? If possible how do I configure? Ideally, I will like to decommission the 3945 ISR, 3850 switch and the WLAN Controller. I will want the services transfer to either the MX84 SDWAN or the 130-48P switches. Your help questions and suggestions are welcome. Thanks
