@FlyingFrames you have been able to create 15 SSIDs per network, not per AP.  This has been useful where you have a site with lots of APs and want some SSIDs to only advertise on a small group of them.  We use this feature at our larger sites and do have over 8 SSIDs, but not that many on any individual AP.  I'd hope the MR57 doesn't limit the network to 8 SSIDs although with iPSK this wouldn't be the issue it once was...   ... So turned out was never an issue with the switch firmware updates, it was the NPS certificate expired, coincidentally expired the same day meraki did the firmware updates so they got the blame. Weird that testing the radius server still passed with the expired cert. Anyway thought I'd fess up it was my fault all along. ... View more

OK, thank you. There are two things that will cause a flap: 1. 100% CPU spikes, but these, in my experience, flap all the active interfaces 2. Of course! I'm dumb. When I connected the switch it was sending out BPDU's like crazy, and because we had BPDU guard enabled, the Meraki port transitioned to a disabled state. "Assign group policies automatically by device type" option works within each SSID network where it's defined, as I tested using an Apple ipad and an android phone.  A single Deny Any to Any rule + an Allow UDP port 67 allows a device to obtain an IP address seemingly to allow access but all traffic to anywhere is denied.  Although, you do need to allow for existing traffic streams to die off then all new traffic would effectively be blocked. This fulfills my goal of kicking all personal devices off our existing PSK SSID without changing the passphrase.  This forces everyone to use the guest SSID instead.   After the above is done for a while, we'll implement iPSK with RADIUS where we have a central MAB database of devices using different PSKs. ...
