@KarstenIThank you. We do have MX devices with the Advanced security license. I'm looking for what features are offered with that license in terms of DNS protection in order to make a decision whether we need to get Cisco Umbrella or not. What are the overlapping features that the MX offers with the Advanced Security license? Is there information on what features the Advanced Security license provides? I'd probably need to do a comparison between the Advanced Security license and what Cisco Umbrella offers.

When I created a new network, Meraki created a network that had sections for devices that I don't have such as Cellular Gateway & Environmental. Why did it do this and how can I remove those sections from the network? Please see below:

Neither adding the switches to the MX250 appliance network or creating a new combined network then splitting that same network, then selecting the split networks and the MX250 appliance network and selecting "combine" worked. Here is the message I receive:

Hi all, Here's my situation: I currently have a network that is in the "appliance" network type. The network currently consists of an MX250. I will be adding switches and access points to the location. I would like to know how I can accomplish adding the switches and access points to this network so that everything shows up under the same network.

Thank you @Bruce That makes a lot more sense. So even though the network that contains only the MS devices is a combined type, I'll have to split that and I'll get three networks such as an appliance type, wireless type, and whatever other type category there is. So the resulting networks I'll get from splitting this combined type network would give me an empty appliance type and wireless type. Just making sure I understand correctly. Will I lose any configurations on the switches from the combined network that I split?

The combined network type only contains the MS devices. It is the only network type that is combined. The remaining two are appliance type and wireless type. I'm assuming if I delete any networks, the configurations will be lost.

Hi all, My organization has separate networks for the MX, MR and MS. Essentially, an appliance, wireless, and switch network. The switch network type was the newest one created and it was created as a combined type. I would like to combine these three networks into one. How do I go about combining the three networks and will I lose any configurations? I can provide screenshots if needed. Thanks in advance!

@rhbirkelund Yes, the switch ports are configured exactly like that. When I set "Relay DHCP to another server" and then input the IP address of our Windows DHCP Server, that's when things break. The phones don't boot up and just display the "Server Unreachable" message. I'm curious to know if Option 242 is for Avaya IP Office, or is it for Nortel CS1000? I'm not sure where we got Option 244 from either. Might've been from our Telecom department.

@DarrenOC Yeah, I tried to get the software from WD using their Quick Install Guide, but their link is dead. http://products.wdc.com/library/QIG/global/4079-705102.pdf http://wd.com/setup I was hoping that it went back to factory default and tried to get an address using DHCP, but it would've showed up in Clients. There's nothing popping up. When I first connected it, it showed up immediately. The LED is still just blinking like every 5 seconds.

@cmr Option 244 has the PBX IP address for s1ip and s2ip. The phones do not boot up when we use VLAN 218. We tested VLAN 219 with the same exact settings. All I did was literally change Voice VLAN from 218 to 219 and it works, but not VLAN 218. I don't know why. Nothing has changed except changing 218 to 219.
