A lot of older system admind and "neck beards" routinely and incorrectly used 1.1.1.1 for virtual IPs, older controllers load balancers server instances for redundancy etc.. Actually that is not the same bracket that is included with the 9166i or the MR57. Both of those models ship with the only bracket that matters, the AIR-AP-Bracket-2 aka the Universal bracket. The AP Bracket 1 is a waste of sheet metal as it cannot be affixed to any electrical box of any type. Based on the limited information, I agree with others here... There is a VLAN missing somewhere in your configuration, likely trunks and/or port channels. Check your DHCP and VLAN segments starting from your core radiating outward. You will find where it starts and focus on one spoke at a time. Is there a new DHCP server is it trusted? is your subnet exhausted,  do any of your APs try to come up in Mesh Mode? If aps are coming up on the management VLAN then check your wifi client VLANs... etc... ... View more

This makes no sense. if its the same vlan and subnet, forwarding is not needed. Also, IMO, you are compromising your wireless security on that valn by add the printers and the TVs.  I would move the printers and tv into another separate vlan.   All of chromecast /casting and printing devices are in an isolated vlan from my secured wireless clients. There is no email alert for an AP for this. Change of link speed is a switch port alert for the actual MS or CS switch port. do this:   On each switchport that is the uplink for the AP, add a tag. If you are talking a /22 only for just your wireless users then no need to split it up. Meraki enterprise equipment will be able to handle a /22 without issue. Splitting it up will likely mean even more airtime for the added wireless overhead.  If you are sharing the same /22 with your wired clients then, yes, split the wireless from the wired and let your L3 device and firewall decide who talks to what. monitor what your actually using IP wise and reduce lease times if needed.   IMO If wired and wireless you need at least 4 vlans: one for management traffic one for wired employee business use (laptops pcs etc) one for wireless employee business use one for guest/visitor wireless use.   Ultimately, it depends...How simple or complicated do you want to make it? IMO, you can rest assured a /22 isn't crippling like it was 20 years ago for wireless or wired, especially  so with true enterprise class equipment.       ... View more
