@DanHarmon - also - for Supervised devices we just released the ability to disable or enable bluetooth on iOS.    This can be done on an individual device (from that device's page in SM) like below     Some folks in the Community have already noticed this new feature in dashboard!! We'll be making a larger announcement about this and other upcoming features soon 🙂 ... View more

@DanHarmon - if you can't work with Apple to get those added to your DEP on the backend, there is always the option of manually enrolling the ipads in DEP using Apple Configurator 2 (as long as they are running at least iOS 11)   More on that here https://documentation.meraki.com/SM/Device_Enrollment/Enrolling_and_Supervising_iOS_Devices_using_Apple_Configurator_2.5_or_Later#Manual_Enrollment_-_Add_device(s ... Re: Minor adjustments to the Endpoint Management board

@PhilipDAth - I agree that the changes to align with industry terms (not Meraki terms) like MDM, EMM, and now UEM have been exhausting.   That's why we're trying to now stay away from 3-letter acronyms, no matter how hard the industry pushes them! MDM, EMM, and UEM have never been "Meraki" terms - we've just adopted them alongside "Systems Manager" (a name which hasn't changed in years) to help customers identify what kind of product this is 🙂   The industry is moving away from the term "mobility', because not all endpoints are mobile. We agree! Expect to see further alignment on our website/docs/etc coming soon! It's a process 🤷‍♀️   ...and next year, when there is a new 3-letter acronym out there...we plan to stick with "Endpoint Management".  ... View more

Hi everyone!   We recently released the ability to automatically install the SM agent alongside the enrollment profile for Mac devices! This allows for out-of-the-box enrollment with DEP and saves you from having to manually install the agent on devices as part of your SM setup.   Thank you to all of our beta users for your help and feedback on this feature!   Of course, for those that would like to continue to have either the agent or enrollment profile in use (but not both) - this option is still available! If you're not sure what either gets you (the enrollment profile or the agent), check out the article linked below for more info.    Here's our guide for more information.    For Mac devices with an SM enrollment profile set up - you'll see the SM Agent on the apps page (like this below):     ... @Jacko - Just checking on this - have you removed the SM agent AND the enrollment profile? Either one will continue checking in to SM.   Here's more on that...   https://documentation.meraki.com/SM/Device_Enrollment/Uninstalling_Systems_Manager_and_Removing_Managed_Devices   You can always call in to support as well! I would say the only time to avoid (if possible) is 11-12pm PST. That tends to be the busiest time - in general.  ... View more

@PhilipDAth - that's right, dashboard will not let you copy profiles between dashboard ORGs, but you can between different networks in a single org.  (I wish we had this! I submitted this request.)   It sounds like in this case @Jacko is looking to copy profiles between networks (in one org) and not between orgs.      ... View more

@PhilipDAth - thanks for posting this!! The "Compromised" check currently available in SM Policies scans for rooted or jailbroken mobile devices. Hi everyone!    We recently released a suite of Chrome OS management features for Enterprise users - check out our blog to learn more! https://meraki.cisco.com/blog/2018/03/systems-manager-chrome-os-management-for-enterprise-users/   At launch Google is only allowing these features for Enterprise users, but we'd love to collect any feedback education customers might have. Please reach out to your Meraki sales representative if you're interested.   We'll also be demoing these features in next week's SM Webinar, along with updates across different device platforms (macOS, iOS, android, etc.). Hi @Bombarie! This might have something to do with support for ActiveSync with Gmail. Google used to support ActiveSync for iOS and I believed grandfathered in previous customers using this...but it's not supported for new customers moving forward.   If you're looking to sync more than just email, I would suggest trying to set up a Managed App Settings for the Gmail app on iOS. This should enable the Gmail account on the device AND allow the user to go in and turn on sync for contacts, calendars, etc.    Here's more on that - https://documentation.meraki.com/SM/Profiles_and_Settings/Using_the_Managed_App_Settings_Payload     ...
