I am installing two MR74s and I only ordered two ANT-27s. I plan to get two more ANT-27 so I can point coverage for both bands from the top of a two story building out across an open outdoor area. My question is about mounting the MR74 itself. Should I bother facing it out toward the desired coverage area or just worry about the antennas? Thanks in advance.

The problem could be the UDP timeout on Meraki (that you cannot change) You should be able to adjust the timer on your Avaya gear to be longer though to try to resolve this.

CVDs? Not sure what that is. MR33 is not designed for high density itself, but on the other hand warehouses are not usually high density wireless usage. More likely you want to consider the MRs with external antennas to aim signal down tall aisles in a warehouse or toward the floor if you are forced to mount them very high above the clients.

MR18 are a bit old and I could see how you have poor performance if you have a lot of users with various devices connecting. Do you have access to the dashboard so you can look at things like channel utilization and how many clients are connecting and how much traffic they are passing? I would start there and then consider how to change things or adding/replacing MR's.

26 is a special release to enable some Umbrella features. You are supposed to have to request it from support as I understand. I would call support and ask them to fix it if you do not want it.

Am I the only one that started recently to get email notifications for every post and reply to every board I am subscribed to? I did want and intend to see new posts for boards I am subscribed to and also replies to posts I have manually subscribed to or replied to, but I am seeing every post and every reply via immediate email now to all boards I am subscribed to.

Not to be to obvious, but you didn't mention if you entered street addresses for all your devices. Once you have done that it should look correct.

Well, back to MerakiDave's suggestion, I guess.. Look at a LAN side packet capture and see what is happening. If it is not right, call support and show them.

And make sure to reboot or reset network settings when testing. If you are just running ping and expecting it to stop within moments of applying the changes it won't.

When the rule is applied it won't affect current network flows immediately. You might just want to reboot the clients or refresh their network settings and test again.

help > firewall info will show you the outbound ports you need allowed for management. for user traffic that is up to you and/or the security team I suppose.

I don't see why not. The only consideration might be to make sure you select a proper, heavy gauge and not a cheap cable from a questionable source.

The only place you might see it would be under wireless > splash logins, but I think that is only for Google authentication. I see user names there for some education customers that use Google authentication for wireless access.

Meraki does not collect anything it just directs users to a Facebook page as far as I understand.
