Plus, as you mentioned it's trivial to the issue.   Our spec sheets outline what we would expect a device to be able to throughput, RAM and CPU are not factors that could be used to compare throughput speed in my opinion. A good example is how comparing RAM between iPhone and Android devices isn't a fair test either, as both iOS and Android have very different memory management methods.    tl;dr I wouldn't use CPU/RAM specs as a factor in your purchasing decision, follow the spec sheet for required throughput and number of clients and you'll be golden. If it's not listed here, then it's not supported by Apple and therefore something that cannot be changed by Meraki. The only option that we have regarding MDM and the camera is disabling it:             So, unfortunately, disabling Live Photos is not something MDM can change. You can submit feedback to Apple via this website. If they ever implement this, you can be sure Meraki will allow this too 😀. If the main headache is that users have to deselect the .mov files, maybe search the folder for the .heic or .jpg files and then the .mov's will be hidden. Live Photos can come out awesomely too! ... Just tried it on a test SSID, and yeah, to my amazement it tunnels everything over DNS and worked perfectly. Windows still alerts than DNS isn't working, but web browsing etc works fine.     You'll need to block all DNS, except for Google / OpenDNS / ISP DNS server in order to prevent this. My test network was: Client ( ( ( ( ) ) ) )  MR <===> MX   Blocking DNS on the MR won't work as until the splash is passed all DNS is allowed, you'll need to block it upstream device (MX / Router). I blocked all DNS by blocking port 53 on both TCP and UDP but added an explicit allow for 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 which prevented Psiphon from connecting. ... View more

Due to data protection Support will be unable to help provide information regarding this.    "Note: Meraki Support cannot help in contacting previous device owners. It is the purchaser's responsibility to have the necessary contact information."   This is true for both second-hand and equipment that you do not have Dashboard access for. If you are the original recipient of the device (for example you purchased it from your reseller and it arrived already claimed), then you'll need to contact anyone  that may have been in contact with the device and could have perhaps registered this on your behalf. Yeah, Ourdoor APs have a 1yr warranty, so unfortunately if the AP is older than 1yr then we'll be unable to provide an RMA for this. If it's anything like my ISP (Virgin Media), they'll change your public IP address pretty regularly unless you pay for a static IP. So for home addresses, this will never likely be a good solution. Also, if a user's home internet connection goes down and they wish to use their smartphone's 4G connection to VPN in, you'd prevent that also. ... View more

Hmm, I've never really had an issue with my Chromecast Ultra, so long as you've got it in Bridge mode with the firewall rule allowing Wireless > LAN traffic (Wireless > Firewall & Traffic Shaping) set to Allow, you should be fine.   Gotta admit, Google Stadia is flippin' awesome if you're on a decent broadband connection.    I had a brief outage last night with my Ultra however, just wouldn't connect and asked me to use the Google Home app to reconfigure it, I had to make it connect to the guest network, then back to my main SSID for it to finally come online, it was 11pm so I wasn't willing to take a monitor mode capture, but a quick Google suggests it's a bug on their end (perhaps). Just a quick update to state: remember to set Wireless > Firewall & Traffic Shaping Layer 3 "Wireless Clients accessing LAN" to Allow. By default, the first SSID of every Meraki network has this set to Deny, which will cause issues when setting up & operating your Sonos Equipment. It's such a tiny dropdown menu that is easily missed, but gosh it can cause some headaches!     When I was new to Team Meraki and got an MR42, I shamefully spent hours setting it up with no luck, this lil' dropdown saved my Play:1s from being tossed out the third story window.   Stay safe everyone   -- Connor Loughlin Network Support Engineer .:|:.:|:. If I get some free time tomorrow I'll try and lab this at home. If it's causing an issue, i.e. guests are able to traverse traffic without authenticating with your splash page then you can raise a support ticket.
