Hi @Fabian1 , sounds like a design/AP placement issue. Without surveying etc it would be difficult to say to be sure. The cloud connection piece isn’t the issue here as clients would/should continue to work even if the AP was offline from the dashboard. Is this issue happening across all devices connected to the APs in question? Are clients bouncing from one AP to another?

Hi @MSakr , just revisiting this one following a busy day. Whilst you have aggregated links from the core to downstream switches you still need to enable root guard on those links at the core to prevent the downstream switches becoming the root.

Configure Root Guard on the links from your core to your edge switches and then Loop Guard on the uplinks from the core switch to the MX. You’ll see straight away that one of the uplinks from the core to the MX will be shutdown via STP.

Good morning @Snika , you need a third IP as part of your HA setup. When configured for VRRP the third IP will always be the Primary IP address. So you could have .2 and .3 as the MX IPs and .1 as the VRRP.

Hi @Vishal07 - configure both ends as Trunks and ensure the Native VLAN's match. If you have VLAN's 10, 90 configured on the MX use a VLAN that is non routeable (not configured on the network) as the Native

To be honest i'm not a massive fan of the new look. I'm a middle aged grumpy old bloke but here's my feedback: - its not obvious as to which post is the Solution. The thin green line around the post isn't obvious enough - Rendering on a mobile device isn't pretty - Difficult to identify new posts to ones which i've already read - everything looks to be in the same font and boldness?

Just to add to the discussion - by introducing the 2 x 2 switch stack you are added a level of complexity to the design that doesn't really need to be there. Is the business a 24 x 7 operation 365 days of the year so can't afford any downtime to upgrade the cores? As already highlighted, you also don't gain anything by having the dual stacks as only one will pass traffic to the MX due to STP. I believe in keeping it simple unless the business requirements stipulate otherwise.

hi @Vishal07 - all depends on what you're trying to achieve? What device is connected to the MX port? If you have a switch connected and there's a requirement for devices connected to that switch to use both of those vlan's, then sure, configure as a Trunk and allow those VLAN's on the Trunk port. By configuring a Trunk you're saying you wish to allow more than a single VLAN on that port to the upstream device.

If it’s a straight internet connection then you shouldn’t have to do anything. How long are you leaving the mx to connect? Could take a couple of minutes to reach out to the cloud, download firmware etc. Is the MX new? Factory reset maybe? If all else fails….give Meraki TAC a call.
