mDNS send from wireless client to wired server works, but server to wireless client stuck on AP

Hi,

Recently handle a project realted with mDNS(Bonjour) transfer.

It's same VLAN

#1

mDNS packet from wireless client to multicast address can be captured on wired server.

#2

mDNS oacket from wired server cannot be captured on wireless client, but on the AP wireless connected can see that.

Current version: MR 30.5

Bonjour forwarding is enabled and set to same VLAN 1000 for all services.

Any idea or configuration might need to check ?

Thank you.

Best regards,

Billy Lee

Hi.

I can capture it on the client when connected with wire.

I cannot caoture it on the client when it's connect through wireless, but Meraki tech can capture the pakcet is delivery down to AP, but didn't pass to the wireless client.

So the AP isn't forwarding the multicast packet to the SSID?  How is the SSID configured, L2 bridging?

Sorry for the delay response, yes, it's configured as L2 bridging.

Thank you !

In that case, I'd upgrade to the current 30.7 and see if that fixes it.

Hi

Just provide update, it seems Meraki Engineer need to set the parameter for APs for the maximum packet length to unlimited or larger number in order to fix this issue and the UDP Multicast channel issue.
