Unclaim Meraki MR36-HW

Hi all,

I bought several Meraki MR36-HW from a auction and when I began to setup the device, it's marked in use.

These are second hand devices and the auction company is just an intermediate, not the final owner of them. I've already asked the auction company to make me in touch with the tech but they no longer have any contact of the company.

I have all documents of them during the purchase (invoices etc). Is there a way that I contact directly the meraki support and see with them to unclaim these devices with this proof of purchase in my hands?

Thank in advance

RH

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortenately invoices were issued by the auction company so no way to know who was the previous owner

I think your best bet is a prompt return to the auctioneer, presuming they sold them as either "unclaimed" or something other than "for parts."

They are not re-usable without the prior owner unclaiming them. Secondhand and greymarket sales aren't supported.

This is an issue between you and the auctioneer, not with Meraki support.

So it's seems to be impossible to reuse them, openwrt-ing them is the last chance to give them a second life

Thanks for your help

Notify the auctioneer that the seller has not relinquished the ownership of the APs and you wish to make a complaint of fraud ("selling the goods under false pretences").
