Several 802.11 disassociation - unknown reason logs

Hello everybody

We have a customer platform with 25 MR42 AP version MR 25.13, using the radios of 2.4 & 5 GHz and providing wireless services to 104 users 
(Windows10, Brother printers, macOS, iPhone and Android).

They are using one SSID with PSK (WPA2) encryption.

Customers are reporting daily intermittent connectivity issues (accessing internal and external resources) including disconnection of wireless printers.

As common factor we have detected  several 802.11 disassociation - unknown reason logs on affected users, including from static printers on their connection to AP.

I have been monitoring this customer platform for some days and there is not any "Offline" or "Alerting" messages from APs on Meraki Dash board.

Do you have any recommendations or steps to follow to try to solve this issue?

Are these dropping clients mostly connected to 2.4ghz radio? Can you check for high inteference on that location?

We have an older Brother printer - and the WiFi is just not reliable on it.  Tried it on several different access point models.  No firmware update from Brother.  We are going to replace that printer once the ink cartridges have run out.  Unfortunately, we don't print very much now, and that process has been taking a very long time.

A real common issue with Windows 10 is drivers.  Take a user that is having the issue repeatably and make sure their WiFi driver is up to date.  Note that some manufacturers (like HP, Dell, etc) don't always provide the most recent driver through their own update systems, and you might have to go to the actual WiFi NIC manufacturer to get the driver.

Another common issue with Windows 10 is power saving.  On some affected users, try running these commands to disable WiFi power saving:

@Cabimas66 you might want to upgrade the firmware, 25.13 is very out of date, we run our MRs (including 30+ MR42s) on 28.5.  If you don't like running a release candidate then 27.7.1 is still a lot newer than what you are running.

Its possible some of the devices like the printer are going into power save mode.

Are you using dot1x for your printers?

if so check to see if your ISE MAR (Machine Access Restriction) settings is set to low.  

It’s under administration > External Identity Services > "Org Named Object" > then in the tabs, it’s under the last tab
