MR46 Firmware Upgrade Query - Jumping Multiple Versions
Hi Meraki Community,
I am planning to upgrade the firmware on my Cisco Meraki MR46 access points. Currently, they are running version MR 30.7.1, and the dashboard is suggesting an upgrade to MR 31.1.5.1 (latest stable version).
Looking at the changelogs, I noticed there were several versions released between MR 30.7.1 and MR 31.1.5.1. I’m wondering if it’s safe to "jump" directly to this latest version, or if I should consider upgrading incrementally through the intermediary versions. However, it seems like it’s not possible to manually choose an intermediary version from the dashboard.
Has anyone had experience with similar upgrades? Any advice or precautions I should take before proceeding?
Thanks in advance!

Firmware upgrades can be rolled back to their previous version up to 14 days after an upgrade takes place. Follow the steps below to roll back a firmware upgrade.
Managing Firmware Upgrades
If after the 14 day period, support would have to be contacted.

Hi @Roey1984 , you’ll be fine jumping to the “latest stable” release and that would be the advised step to take.

In addition to what @DarrenOC said, do make sure you do this during a maintenance window if possible to prevent downtime.

Hey there
When you say maintenence window, I understand that as letting all users know about it, and doing the upgrade at night so users won't be affected.
Am i correct?
Moreover I'm sending a Slack message to let them know about the future upgrade

Correct. Whenever you do your updates/upgrades such as after hours (at nights or over the weekends) so as to not impact business operations.

Will do.
BTW it's possible to revet changes right? It's a click of a button?
How much after the upgrade I can revert the changes? One / two weeks?
