MR36 Online and working, but showing offline in Dashboard.

Hi All.

We have a MR36 AP on firmware 30.6 connected to a MS120 switch.

The AP is online and working but shows offline in dashboard.

I can ping the AP from the switch.

Dashboard message:

This device may be unplugged, or it was connected to a new device as of about 11 hours ago.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi all.

Just an update. Meraki ended up doing an RMA of the AP as we could not get it working as it should.

I've just added the new ap and it is working.

Thanks again for all the responses.

Cheers.

Hi @AVL , firstly, are you able to power cycle the AP in anyway (shut, no shut the switch interface)?

What firewall do you have upstream in the network?  Are you seeing any traffic being blocked that would affect device registration to the Meraki Cloud?

Hi @AVL ,

If the AP was connected to another device, sounds like could be IP Address issue and or VLAN towards the Meraki Cloud.

Check the LED status of the AP and follow the suggestions in the tshoot guide below.

Check if the AP is sending out a Meraki setup SSID.
If there is, try to join it and you will be redirected to the status page and you will see the what could be wrong.

Hi Everyone.

Thanks for the replies and advice.

I am not based on site for this client.

The upstream firewall is allowing traffic.

The LED Status light is blue.

Clients are connecting and working perfectly.

I have power cycled the AP.

The AP just can't communicate with the Dashboard.

I have a support ticket logged with Meraki.

I will post the findings and resolution here once it is sorted.
