Heat map software

Anyone have any recommendations for free or low cost heat map software?  We are having problems with our infrastructure, and need to test.  Thanks!

I've recently downloaded and started using WiFi Explorer Pro 3:

Pretty low cost and has been used to rectify a number of wireless issues for a hospitality customer.

Trying to understand (not sarcastic, but out of ignorance), how are these tools different from the heatmap functionality in the Meraki Dashboard?

Hi @EJN , I’ve found the wireless pro one easier to work with. It shows me all active SSIDs in an area. What channels are in use. Also useful for hunting down APs in a building

Plus we still have customers using legacy Cisco WLCs 😁

Worth noting that Ekahau, AirMagnet by NetAlly, and iBWave are huge players in this arena 🙂

Granted, they are not free by any means, but if someone stumbles across this thread this may be helpful
