Meraki WOL (Wake-On-Lan)

I just want to share something and im not sure if it was discussed before but it’s a tool nevertheless. On Meraki dashboard you can actually send a Wake on Lan packets to reboot a machine that is offline. The caveat is the HDD encryption password needs to be disabled on the machine if exists. I just thought it’s cool to be able to do that via Meraki Dashboard.

I forgot to mentioned that the WOL option needs to be enabled on the LAN adapter prior to send it via Meraki dashboard. I tested it on my test laptop and it worked like a charm.

It's is great!

I've used this lots of times when I needed to jump onto a remote computer to do some kind of support and it had gone into power save mode.  I use this to wake it up.
