MS120 switch - how to order the 'fanless' model ?

Hi Team,

the official product page at https://meraki.cisco.com/products/switches/ms120-24 says "Low noise, fanless model available".

Does anyone know how I would order that model without a fan? Is there a separate product code or how would I request it?
Thanks

Thomas

Hi @The_Machine , was in my first initial response, just didn’t include the HW element.  You correct on both counts, the MS120-24HW and 48 port equivalent are non PoE and have no fans.

Hi @The_Machine , the fanless switches are the MS120-24 and MS120-48, so the non PoE switches

You’ll also need the associated licenses

LIC-MS120-24-1YR, 3YR etc

LIC-MS120-48-1YR, 3YR etc

Hi @The_Machine , just re-Reading the datasheets and the MS120-8, 8LP and 8FP are also fanless

@DarrenOC: 🙂 Precise info.. well done ..

Took me a while to find them, but the non-PoE part helped me then ..

Thanks for the speedy reply! So are there 2 different MS120-24 port switches or only a single model? Cause the product page implies that there is one with fan and another option without fan.
Thanks

There are a number of 24 port options.  The part code I provided is the fanless option.  If you look at the PoE models they have fan.

Sorry I don't see any part code other than the licenses but I assume you mean MS120-24-HW and MS120-48-HW, they don't have PoE and based on what you mentioned they would then be fanless - did I get the right?
Cheers

Hi, MS120-48-HW on the datasheet says 'features fanless operation'. a partner had ordered once, and they received it WITH the fan. we need to order again now but not sure of what's the procedure.

Can you please guide as to what part number or procedure was used to order MS120-48-HW specifically to be WITHOUTa fan?

thanks.

@OmarAftab
Hi .. we ordered the MS120-24-HW (no fancy numbers after -24) and got the fanless version ..
All the doc's says the "No-Power" version is the fanless ones ..

Only snake in the garden could be that the 48Port needs more power, hence a fan in the powersupply ?

Maybe the Meraki HW Guru's can supply more enligthenment ?
