I wanted to share that I was having some issues with accessing the video on my MV cameras at home. My devices (iPhones and iPad) only seemed to be able to access the video stream via the cloud and not directly even though the devices and cameras were on the same subnet.
I've been using the Meraki app for ages and when Apple released iOS and iPadOS 14 they implemented a new privacy feature called "Local network" This is off by default however I don't remember the Meraki app ever prompting me for access.
Long story short if you enable this you can then access the video stream of your cameras locally which solved the reliability issues I was having and sped up camera access massively.
