Third WAN

Hi felow companions.

 

Can I enable a third wan port on a MX 250?

Hi @OBARRERA 

 

This isn’t possible. You can only have two active WAN ports. The third would be a GSM/cellular failover option.

And Meraki support can enable it fron the backend?

The new MX75 has hardware support for 3 WAN interfaces and the MX85, MX95 and MX105 have hardware support for 4 WAN interfaces. Software support for more than two WAN interfaces on these models is not expected until MX 18 firmware. Considering that MX 17 firmware only became available in Public Beta two days ago, it's going to be a while before this feature is supported.

 

I don't know if the MX250 and MX450 even have the hardware to support more than two WAN interfaces.

Both models don’t support a third WAN and this isn’t available on the newer models currently

This is now possible through the MultiWAN backup feature implemented in firmware build 18.2 and higher.
