Hello,
I need to know what is the Flash memory and RAM Memory of a Firewall MX64-W.
Thank you,
Hi @jonnh79sa - this information isn’t published on any Meraki datasheets
In a nutshell: enough of both to handle everything you‘re throwing at it within the specified limits 😋
😂 good answer
Hello,
I need to know, because We need to buy 26 devices, How to do find this information?
You‘re buying boxes based on Flash and RAM? 🤔
Seriously, the datasheet will tell you quite precisely what the MX is able to provide you with regarding throughput. Meraki devices are a „closed shop“ so you wouldn‘t be able to make any use out of that information.
Perhaps your sales rep would be able to give out that information, or possibly @ConnorL could help out. Bot as already said: you really don‘t need to know to get the best out of the system.
Hey @CptnCrnch, thanks for the shout out. It's not something Support would be able to assist with. Plus, as you mentioned it's trivial to the issue.
Our spec sheets outline what we would expect a device to be able to throughput, RAM and CPU are not factors that could be used to compare throughput speed in my opinion. A good example is how comparing RAM between iPhone and Android devices isn't a fair test either, as both iOS and Android have very different memory management methods.
tl;dr I wouldn't use CPU/RAM specs as a factor in your purchasing decision, follow the spec sheet for required throughput and number of clients and you'll be golden. This isn't information that Support will be able to provide.
Kind regards,
