Looking for MX250 USB Backup setup procedures

 

Installing the modem on the Primary Member

 

Is there a chance for disruption when adding the device?

There won't be any disruption.  You can just plug it in.

 

However, USB cellular modems tend to be very hit and miss these days.  If you can't get it to work, consider something like an MG21 (which would plug into WAN2 on the MX250).

If needing cellular as a backup option I would suggest purchasing a model with built in cellular, they work well.

@cmr  Pfft MX250C is for commoners you want the MX450CC dual cellular firewall.

 

Or you could just go with a standard MX of your choice and use a starlink connection if its available in your area.
