LIC-MX-SDW-M MODEL COVERAGE

Hi,

I currently have MX80. If I order LIC-MX-SDW-M license will this cover MX80 model ? On data sheet it shows only MX75, MX84, MX85.

Thanks

Hi @Thepul , if it’s not mentioned on the datasheet then that’ll be a negative - not supported.

This doc does mention it. Not sure what datasheet is referred to above.

More importantly the MX80 is EoL

@DarrenOC  beat me to it.

As per the data sheet it's not a supported platform for that license model. But also, the MX80 has been EOL since 2023.

If you really want to re-license your MX80, the SKU would be:

LIC-MX80-ENT-1YR      assuming Enterprise license and 1 year duration.   If you need Advanced Security replace ENT with SEC    Other durations are 3, 5, 7 or 10 years.   As per other people's points though;   it's v old and End of Life as of the Summer of 2023 - and limited to max. 14.x firmware.   Are you sure it's not time for an upgrade?

Due to budget issue, we have to keep MX80 for at least couple of years. I want to go ahead with LIC-MX-SDW-M so that if the customer decided to purchase new appliance like MX75, he can use the existing license without buying a new license.

For that I need the confirmation that LIC-MX-SDW-M will support MX80.

Thanks

That license won't work for MX80, I'm afraid.   If you talk to the customer's Meraki account team about the upgrade plan, they would normally be receptive to making the commercials match the plan, so they are not simply paying twice.
