I get that tech forums and forums in general are a faceless entity - none of us know each other and that may suit some people but I highly recommend reaching out to some people here and just see if they want a conversation- could be about anything.

Im lucky that I know some people here personally and in one instance for over 15+ years @cmr 

I recently had a Teams session with @TyShawn and @AmyReyes and it was a lovely opportunity to put a face to a name, talk tech and bounce some ideas around.

Well said!  I totally agree with you here @DarrenOC. it's definitely worth getting to know people a bit better, it's all part of being part of a community and not just a forum 🙂. I hugely enjoyed participating in a couple of the podcasts with some of the other All Stars and have had some good chats including with @RWelch, @AmyReyes, @CarolineS and@PhilipDAth. Thank you all for making the internet feel more human!

Hi Andy,

Everyone’s paths, experiences, circumstances etc will be different but I cut my teeth in the commercial world with work experience. I found a local company that would allow me to shadow their engineers and work in their labs for a number of weeks. At the end they gave me a job offer but as previously mentioned everyone’s circumstances are different.

Labs, willingness to learn new topics and a solid work ethic are all you need.

Rightly said @DarrenOC  knowing each other and have conversation make sense. It also helps to share the ideas in progressive way.
