@German1  I don't quite understand your question.

I don't think there is anyway of remote controlling an iOS device. You can remote control Mac OS and Windows devices from within systems manager as long as they have the agent installed.

Hi BlakeRichardson,

We need remote control iOS and android devices but I think is not supported now, I don't know if it`s planned for roadmap?

Thanks for your response.

Hi @German1,

For support on iOS remote management from Meraki, please follow instructions https://documentation.meraki.com/SM/Device_Enrollment/Using_the_Systems_Manager_iOS_App_for_Addition..., hope this helps.

Thanks!

Hi Pulkit_Mittal,
We have remote management but we need remote control iOS and Android devices, for example Teamviewer has a feature for remote control and one customer is asking me about the feature because now we only have remote control MacOS and windows PCs.

I believe that's on the roadmap and requires cisco meraki to closely work with Apple for this one. both parties, need to agree to be able to provide remote control facility over iOS devices as this is app based control over system.

Hey German,

I can only speak for iOS for now, but we rely on the MDM commands that Apple publishes to actually interact with the device. Until Apple publishes an endpoint for us to remotely interact (like remote desktop) with a device, it will never be a feature. If you're interested, here's the Apple MDM Protocol reference guide we use when interacting with an iOS device: https://developer.apple.com/business/documentation/MDM-Protocol-Reference.pdf

Considering one of iOS' main selling points is privacy and with the OS being a mobile-first, I doubt this will ever be a feature. Out of interest however, what advantages would having RDP-like access to an iPhone for example have?

Kind regards,
