UPDATE: This contest has now ended. Thank you everyone for sharing your sentiments and what you love about the Meraki Community! Congrats to our 3 randomly selected winners: @nerdocrat@MK2, and @redsector 🎉

As many of you know, the Meraki Community will soon be migrating to its new home in the Cisco Community. 🎉 🏠 💙 As we get ready for the next chapter, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of our favorite memories over the years.

Since its inception in 2017, the Meraki Community has been a place for members to solve problems, share knowledge, celebrate wins, and build lasting relationships. From late-night troubleshooting threads to creative contests, from first posts to All-Star recognition – we've shared so many memorable moments here.

So, we’d love to hear from you. What are your favorite memories of the Meraki Community?

It could be...

  • a discussion that helped you solve a tough problem
  • the first time you answered someone else’s question
  • a contest you participated in
  • a connection you made with another member
  • or simply the feeling of being part of this community

Whatever it may be, we can't wait to hear your stories.

How to enter

Share your favorite Meraki Community memory in a comment on this blog post before Thursday, March 19th at 11am ET. Feel free to include screenshots, stories, or shout-outs to fellow members who made the experience meaningful for you.

After the contest ends on March 19th, we will draw 3 at random to win a Cisco crossbody bag:

Kind of a big deal

I appreciate how the forum brings together people with different levels of expertise who are all willing to help each other.  From quick tips to detailed technical explanations, it creates an environment where everyone can contribute and grow.  Many times I’ve found answers to various things I hadn’t even thought about simply by reading through discussions.

I have always appreciated how welcoming and helpful the community is, I don't feel like there are any egos and that everyone is here for the good of helping each other.

I hope this carries on after the migration.

Kind of a big deal

For me, it was always about forming connections with other people.

I believe in the mantra of giving without expectation of return.  Treat others how you would like to be treated.

I like an ecosystem that allows and promotes individuals, allowing them to shine.  In my experience, this tends to happen in smaller communities, and I was drawn to the Meraki community for that reason.

I bid the Meraki community a fond farewell and wish it the best in its next stage of life.

Here to help

I am still a new-ish network admin, but my first job in networking was at a full-stack Meraki company, and I felt *so* intimidated and alone (Imposter Syndrome ran amok). The Meraki Community posts helped me realize that I wasn't alone and that the problems I had were problems that SO many people had too.

The Meraki Community keeps me anchored in a way no one else does.

Not exactly a memory but...

I joined the community to learn as I'd just started working at a place who were transitioning to Meraki. It was an absolutely invaluable experience for me as just by being a part of the community, both learning from and answering posts, I was able to skill up really quickly.
I was genuinely amazed when I was asked to join the all-stars and be part of the group of people who seemed to know Meraki inside and out, but I never felt out of place.

Although life circumstances mean I'm less active than those days, the community still means a lot to me. It would have been great to meet more people (including the amazing community team) in person, but I'll settle for bumping into @PhilipDAth at Cisco Live.

And thanks @AmyReyes and the rest of the team for making it a special place - far more than just a message board. Hoping your hard work and legacy can continue shining even after the transition.

Well there are many things...

Support from community Members experience on issues

Meeting community members at Cisco Live in real

The mood in the community and how we interact. I have this feeling only in this community

And for sure @AmyReyes and the team which run the community before

Hope with the move to Cisco community we can keep the good things.

"There are so many things: the incredible support and experience shared by members, finally putting faces to names at Cisco Live, and the unique vibe we have here. I don’t get that feeling anywhere else. A huge part of that is thanks to the team who ran the community before."

As in a family, always nice people helping each other, great ideas and support. Thank You! Hopefully Meraki stays Meraki even in Cisco.

A model citizen

It’s like walking into a bar and meeting nice people, getting inspired, gaining experience, and solving problems together—you guys are a truly great community.

I hope Cisco realizes what kind of “bar” they’re closing down - you can't just “migrate” it.
