From what MX software version will the vMX utilise VPP ?

Do we know from what version of the MX software that vMX will utilise VPP ?

Or is this only for AWS vMX-XL ? I mean would all "clouds" and versions of vMX not benefit from VPP ?

Cheers

Thomas

Cisco's VPP (Vector Packet Processing) , That is still not matured enough and will introduced may be in next releases.. It will be introduced to all cloud platforms

But will it be implemented in ALL MX (both virtual and hardware) ? .. just the AWS vMX ? or all vMX ?

Atleast the MX650 will support it.  I don't remember if older MX will support it

It will gonna support both Physical and virtual with the on the new image train .. But may be not supported to the old devices which can't be upgraded to new image.

And this "new image train" is 19.x ? Or something completely new (Since it seems that the new MX650 is based of a Cat 8K - in theory it could be IOS right 🙂 ).
