Same here, I used this configuration as a transition from MPLS to Internet-based SD-WAN. But I add some additional stuff, like allowing split tunnel and use WAN 1 (Internet circuit) as Primary uplink and disabled the load balancing. I also added some SD-WAN policies to use WAN 2 (MPLS circuit) for voice and some sensitive traffic to our DC. This was more predictable until I all the MPLS circuits were removed. After that, I used the uplink load balancing and modify the SD-WAN policies to use the best for voice or other custom performance classes.

We are using UCS with sip gateway. The only close thing I would think in regard timeout would be some kind of TTL on a protocol. But if any, it would expect a bigger impact across all sites

Hi Darren, we are talking multiple sites but all coming back top the same hub. However, I have about 30 other spokes coming back to that hub with no trouble. The called seems to be external call, where there will be terminated to common SIP trunks in our DC.

I did upgrade to MX 18.107.2 but the trouble shown before and after the upgrade. Also no issue reported to the 70 + other sites. I am trying to see if there is some missing packets at the DC. None I can find so far. But I noticed that some tcp 2000 packets were not classified as VoIP by the Meraki... but either way, I am very far from congestion.

No change on the SD-WAN policy. Trouble still happens. I am trying to do some packet capture but the trouble is random and usually happen after 15 min. it’s like winning the lottery if I can capture the right stuff. LOL

Hi, I was wondering if you could suggest where to look to dig a little further in my investigation. VoIP users (Cisco phones with UCS in data centres) are reporting some random call disconnect after about 15 min. So far, it's reported from sites associated to a specific template (less than 10). We have 80 sites equipped with MX68 that are grouped in 12 Templates. They are configured in spoke with auto vpn toward a 4 MX250 in our Data Center with the same configurations (I think I rechecked half a dozen times so far). I ruled out the hubs, the internet access (WANs, MOS), VPN disconnected and any NGF functions. For a while, the SD-WAN policy for VoIP was set up to prefer WAN2 with failover with the VoIP performance class. Then I changed it to best for VoIP. Any pointer would be appreciated. Thanks Steve

Hi, I am exploring ways to improve our supervision and alerting with our growing Meraki infrastructure. I was wondering if you could share with me what solutions/products you are using. We just finished to migration a little over 80 sites with MX68. We are starting our phase 2 with the deployment of MS and MR/CW for all those sites. We are currently using Orion from SolarWinds but I am looking for something more sophisticated. For example, be able to flag slow degradation of WAN and tunnels, MOS degradation, high CPU usage, BGP flapping, AP density, AP authentication threshold, AP SNR, etc. Thanks for your feedback Steve

Hi Raphael, Looks like I am running to the same issue but with some alarm controllers. The source IP 169.254 is also used and the packets are dropped (unfortunately, not many logs on this). Did you find a work around? Thanks, Steve

Hi, May I ask what sites you are using for the uplink statistics? By default it's Google 8.8.8.8. I had CloudFare 1.1.1.1 for my lab environment and noticed some small statistics performance between Google and CLoudFlare. I am trying to improve my view on the internet circuits performance. Yeah, you may want to investigate the Internet access. MOS bellow 3.6 would be difficult for VoIP. We have over 75 sites with 2 Internet access each and the MOS average a steady 4.1.

Anyone use the Meraki SD-WAN Orchestrator from Orion? We notice a couple of funny things On some MX, there are extra VPN tunnels reported with unknown states. I am wondering if it's the auto VPN that is creating multiple tunnels but Orion keep reporting the ones that are no longer used. Anyone know how to reduce to reporting to the used tunnels? Still on the VPN tunnels reporting, the WAN icons shows grey (not green or red). Anyway to change that? Thanks, Steve

Hi, Would you be able to share the MOS and packet lost status on the VPN? From my observation, 2% packet loss causes the MOS to drop around 3 and the VOIP start to be impacted. Security & SD-WAN / VPN Status / Select your main tunnel on the green bar / Another thing, do you have some SD-WAN policies configured to prefer a specific WAN interface? (ex. prefer WAN2 for SIP) Lastly, du you use traffic shaping rules for SIP traffic? Also

Hi, We were able to correlate the VPNs MOS degradation with a single Internet service provider at the spoke sides. Turns out a core router, between two Internet service providers, was dropping some packets (on the spokes side Provider A and the hubs side Provier B). The core router in trouble was common to both hubs but only in line with Provider A network. Our other sites that used other service providers were not impacted. So, mystery is solved. Just too bad the MX offer limited ping test.

Hi, is anyone seen service degradation and all you can find is MOS degradation on the VPNs? Starting Jan 11, we have about a dozen MX68 on 16.16.6 with that behaviour. The trouble either disappear or move to another VPN on the same MX (we run 2 internet access with 2 hub for each MX). Thanks Steve
