Update from Meraki Support Team. I have confirmed that your issue has been added as an official feature request in Meraki internal system. This means our Engineer team is working on this feature right now. Also, this feature should be introduced in the future. However, I can't guarantee when this feature will be launched. It‘s out of my scope, but I believe it shouldn't take a long time. ------------ Fingers crossed this gets pushed put pretty quickly.

Hi All, Since the High Sierra update on Mac OS, I am unable to install apps from Meraki Systems manager that require kernel extensions. While the app will install via Meraki System Manager it will not enable it with out a user manually going into System Preferences then Privacy and security and allowing the App. Other MDM's do support this however Meraki does not and I feel like if they don't create this this feature more and more people are going to have this problem. Referring to the apple documentation https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208019 they provide a way for MDM's to handle this. Some examples of apps that get stuck with this issue are: Crowd Strike VMware Lacie Software - http://knowledge.lacie.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/007815en Sophos endpoint security - https://support.home.sophos.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005363986-System-Extension-Blocked-appears-on-new-installations-on-macOS-High-Sierra-10-13 ESET Parallels The only work around currently I can see is https://community.meraki.com/t5/Endpoint-Management-Systems/whitelisting-kernel-extensions-via-team-id-s/m-p/19775#M2297 , which honestly is a fair bit of extra work. Meraki please enable this feature as it defeats the purpose of having a MDM for a app installation perspective. Update: Meraki Systems Manager is unable to deploy the software with out user interaction. Although Apple have provided a way to allow this with MDM Meraki does not have this feature enabled and recommend I place a Make a wish in the dashboard. Honestly I think this is ridiculous as Crowd Strike installs fine on Mac OS Sierra, its only High Sierra that has the problem. More and more people are going to have this issue when trying to install certain apps on their Mac unless Meraki provide this feature. From my knowledge there is not one however I would love this feature. For now the only way I can see getting it done is via pushing out a script, however you would still need to create a manual account first when you first setup the new computer.

Hi All, I am currently testing the Crowd Strike suite and here is what I have so far. Good - Amazing level of detail in the GUI - Deploys easy to Windows via Systems manager - Helpful support - Reasonably priced based on what they offer -Spunk intergration -Very low resource usage on the agent and once installed very hard for end users to stop or remove Bad - Will not auto deploy to mac's running High Sierra (case raised to Meraki as Systems manager can push out a profile to allow this https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208019, other MDM's have done this and got it to work) - Does not support iOS or Android (in pipeline for Android however) I also tested Sophos and while it was good if Meraki can allow Crowd Strike to be fully installed with no user interaction on High Sierra it seems the best solution so far. Hi Everyone, Was just seeing if it just me or does it take a very long time to get through to the Meraki Support when calling. Based in Australia we call the Australian number and the last few times I have been waiting for over 30 minutes. Currently I am on hold and its been 42 minutes and counting. Is this everyones normal experience when calling them? We are currently under a evaluation license and getting concerned if this is the normal wait time to discuss a issue that has already been raised.

Has anyone been able to integrate all the logs produced from Systems Manger to be pushed into Splunk or something similar. Any help or being pointed into the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi All, Finally seemed to have resolved this. The CMD prompt error seems fine and not a issue, from I can tell it can be ignored. To resolve the issue I had to do the following: Fully removed the profile and Agent and reboot Install profile and then install agent Reboot One of my apps had the incorrect install argument which was causing all the others to get stuck. Note that windows apps the install argument may be different for each app. Once the above was done apps started to install fine So apps are now installing fine however I have another issue where Meraki says the device is missing apps however they have been installed and are working fine. I might need to raise another post for that issue.

I always do the process of adding computer to the profile first and then once that is all ok I then install the agent.

Hi All, I am having some trouble with the Windows Agent installation. It seems to install fine however during the installation the following error pops up. The error stays for a few seconds and then the installer says it has installed fine. The devices shows up fine in SM however I am unable to install any apps or a specific settings profile to the device such as WIFI settings, everything else seems to work fine (Remote control, process list etc.). Looking at the agent log files nothing seems to stand out. I have tried 2 seperate Windows 10 pro devices which are fully up to date with no AV or AM software on either. Has anyone else had this issue or is it a support ticket to Meraki? Thanks

Thanks for the response, I had a feeling something like this may be an issue. I'm speaking to my Meraki Supplier now who also offer endpoint security solutions, hopefully they can recommend something. Any further updates on this will be great and i'll do the same if I make any progress

Hi All, I know this is not directly related to Merkai however I'm hoping some users can provide some recommendations to the following. We are about to deploy Systems Manager to all our devices and was seeing what people use for anti- virus and anti- malware for their devices on Systems manager (Windows & MacOS). I would love to be able to use Systems manager to push these apps out to the devices and register the license etc. via either some sort of package or script. I currently don't have a anti-virus/malware vendor so willing to pick one that works better with Systems manager. Has any done this on or something similar? I would love to know what every else is doing and how they are doing it. Thanks, Phil
