We are using 1 Google account for all the phones. Is there any way to have more than 1 account in Meraki MDM? We also had feedback from Google saying that there is NO limit whatsoever for downloading apps or registration of phones via MDM's. Might there be a limit on the Meraki MDM then? I don't know, but there is still no clear answer. BTW: The roll-out of the Android phones is gradually progressing. In case I know what limitations we have while staging the phones, I can plan on that. We can now roll-out around 40-50 phones per 24 hours. Some phones start rolling out immediately, others need to wait a few hours. I have no problems with that, as long as we know the limitations. And Cisco seems to be in the dark here, so they have no clear answers on what to do.

There seems to be some sort of limit on the play store, so there is a limit on the amount of devices you can roll out per day. I don't now the exact numbers. If you leave your device on for a longer period of time, the apps will eventually be pushed to the device.

Hi, This is still an issue! I'm rolling out 250 samsung A50's and struggling to get the apps on the devices. Exactly the same issues as described by others in this thread. We did see, that when you leave the devices on overnight, that the apps were installed. I'm trying with another 60 devices to keep them on overnight and see what happens. For mass roll-out, this is a real pain. Updated my case with support, including this link, hoping that it will be solved soon. Next time, i'll advise iOS again, or not to use Meraki MDM for the job. Hi all, Anybody else experiencing issues with rolling out Android devices since this morning? Been testing for roughly two weeks and all went well. As of this morning around 9:30 AM (Amsterdam), apps can not be displayed on the phone. Authentication through AD during roll-out is fine, owner is assigned, profiles are pushed and from a dashboard point of view all seems well. On the phone, however, I can see all the managed apps in the SM app, but they are not installed. Not the auto-install onces and also the "private app store" onces (we are using Device Owner mode). On the phone, we get the message that "the admin didn't give permission to this item". We didn't change a single thing since the last tests last week and also the first 5 devices before 9:30 AM were just fine. License is in place. Very weird and I've opened a case with support. Just checking here to find out whether other people were experiencing the same issues. Kind regards, Ferdy

It Works! It was in the config of the Fortigate. Needed to build an extra phase 2 tunnel instead of putting 2 subnets in one phase 2 configuration.

Hi, We would like to setup an IPSec tunnel between an MX84 pair and a fortigate 70D. The Fortigate is behind a NAT device which allows IPSec. Error message at the Fortigate is: Negotiation failure. At the Meraki side: phase1 negotiation failed due to send error. 8fc23f30749477ae:0000000000000000 Config on the Meraki side is default with very simple PSK. Anybody got any tips on IPSec settings between Meraki and Fortigate? We've tried several different combinations of sets. Thanks in advance. Ferdy

Hi, What you could try, is to disable the 2.4 GHz radio on the specific AP's in that area through "radio settings" per AP (I use the old version of radio settings for that (upper right corner in radio settings)). That way, you will only have 5GHz from those AP's. Don't know if that will affect the rest of your network, but it's worth a try. Good luck!

If you PUT the following with Postman: { "wan1": { "staticDns": [ "208.67.222.222", "208.67.220.220" ] } } Only the DNS changes from the previous values to (in this case) the Cisco Umbrella (OpenDNS) values. It leaves the other "wan1" values as they were, so thanks a lot for pointing me to the right solution! When using collections together with a CSV in Postman, you can change all AP's at once!

Hi, I configured around 180 AP's in 1 organization with static IP addresses and static DNS. I would like to change only the DNS settings for all AP's, using API (with Postman app). I cannot change to DHCP because of monitoring systems. Anybody got any suggestions? Thanks!

Reset the switch to factory default: https://documentation.meraki.com/zGeneral_Administration/Support/Resetting_Cisco_Meraki_Devices_to_Factory_Defaults Connect one of the switchports to the internet modem/router that can provide a DHCP address to the switch. Be sure that the switch can reach the cloud: https://documentation.meraki.com/zGeneral_Administration/Other_Topics/Firewall_Rules_for_Cloud_Connectivity In most cases that would not be an issue.

If the switch is "out of the box", connect on of the switchports to the internet. For example an internet router/modem that can provide the switch with an IP address. This is the only way the switch can connect to the Meraki dashboard. Connect to the dashboard and configure the switch from there. https://documentation.meraki.com/MS/MS_Overview_and_Specifications/MS120_Overview_and_Specifications states the following: Common Troubleshooting My device is connected to the network but not checking in to the Meraki cloud or shows a solid Orange LED. Confirm that the device is powered on and has a valid IP address that is able to access the Internet. Use the Local Status Page to get more information about the connectivity status of the device such as if it can successfully reach the Local Gateway, Internet, and/or Meraki Cloud servers. If necessary, contact Meraki Support for additional assistance.
