Thanks for taking the blinders off. Ran on MX LAN port vs WAN. Found the culprit.

Hi, We recently updated to 18.107.2 and changed our client tracking from MAC to IP. Now I am seeing a steady stream of UDP traffic over WAN 2 via wireshark. Is there a way to tell which client is using WAN 2? The primary is WAN 1 and WAN 2 just being used as a failover. We did have some flow preferences to try to send the guest wifi subnets over WAN 2 but it never worked. Packet capture is just a steady UDP stream with ICMP sprinkled in. Thanks, Rob

Looks like changing the Client tracking to IP fixed the issue for us. Pages all load without needing to refresh. Note: Our layer 3 routing down stream is handled by Non-Meraki switches.

Good advice! nslookup retrives instantly. Developer mode just shows it waiting for a response. After about 15 seconds it kicks in 😕 Odd issue. Once site loads it kicks along fine. Just that first reach out.

Hi, Thanks for the reply. It's on a new MX 105. Tried disabling IPS and Content filtering. No change. I spoke with support and they recommend changing Client tracking from MAC to IP. Going to flip the setting tonight when I can do a reboot. Layer 3 is handled by non meraki switches, they think that's gooping it up.

Hi, We recently updated from 16.16 to 18.107.2. Noticed after the update some pages don't load until we refresh them. This is also affecting our DUO VPN MFA as when the radius server we have reaches out to DUO it times out sometimes. Usually, after you hit the pages once and refresh it to load, it's fine for a while. Same with DUO... Someone connects to the VPN, and times out. Tries again then duo connects to its URL from the radius server. Has anyone else experienced this?

Called support and because we have too many clients on the MX67, not much troubleshooting on their side. They even saw how it performed running 18.107.2 and then how much better it was on 16.16. So now not sure if I should upgrade the firewall to a bigger version, or just go look at something else as I believe they use the same firmware for all the MX's.

Thanks. We tried the update last night. Same latency issues. Had to roll back to ol' tried and true 16.16

Hi, We have two MX67's. We have been stuck on 16.16 for a while as the firmware updates would cause severe latency in our internet traffic. Seems like that was a known issue from previous posts here and what support would say. Tonight we are going to try to move to 18.107.2. Has anyone that has had latency issues upgrading the firmware in the past had any success in resolving the latency that plagued the previous firmware versions?
