There are 70 + sites in an organization . There is a 3rd party tunnel to a vendor. Some of the IP ranges overlap with the vendors other client's tunnel . They have asked us to NAT. Each 1 of the sites has a /24 subnet. The NAT they want to provide us with is a /27. We know the limitations of the MX and Nat so we have built a VWAN hub in Azure with all sites connected and the 3rd party vender. This still requires a 1 to 1 Nat however the vendor is not willing to provide a larger NATTd subnet . Has anyone ever experienced a similar issue and if so how did you resolve it, short of putting an MX at the vendor's site?

Looking for away that we can implement remote testing of failover to LTE. The fear is that if failover did not occur we would be down until local status page could be accessed by a onsite resource. How could we safely and effectively test ISP failover remotely .

After spending time with Fortigate and Meraki today we were able to achieve tunnel connectivity. There were multiple issues so I thought it would be a good idea to post them in case anyone else ever comes across this same issue. First, when establishing a tunnel to a non-Fortigate vpn peer, object groups/names are advised against. Using the subnet is the way to go . Second, Fortigate side had to turn off Nat Traversal (I found this odd but it worked) Third, MTU had to be adjusted due to the Fortigate sending Jumbo frames.

We have a need to build an Ipsec tunnel from a Fortigate in AWS to a VMX100 in AWS. When initially configured we were able to establish Phase 1 . Phase to on the fortigate always showed as failed. We involved Meraki support to verify Phase 2 because the dashboard stated the tunnel was up. Phase 2 was never established. After troubleshooting (changing the psk , bouncing the tunnel, etc. ) Phase 1 will not establish. Has anyone had any luck with similar cloud security appliances ?

Called into support last night..... they were able to change the timeout to 30 seconds on WAN2 on my primary and secondary MX. SOOOOO HAPPY! New backend feature.

Has this been addressed or in the roadmap? I have a 2.5 minute failover on WAN2 on secondary ISP. That is not acceptable for my customer . What about a static route with next hop as WAN2 ISP2.

Having an issue with 4 minute failover for my WAN 2 on MX100. Call support . They tell me it can take up to 5 minutes. failover kicks in at 2 minutes which is tooooo long

So I have a loop because I was unaware that the Ethernet ports on the MX250 could not be used as uplinks for my 6 MS225s because RSTP. Got it. Now I am looking at stacking my 6 switches and using LAG to connect all uplinks. I know the best practice would be to get a MS425 but we can't do that right now. So my question is.... Can I stack all 6 switches, LAG the last port of each (Port 48) and connect them to all to the MX?

Question: without using a pair of hubs, couldn't the same topology be achieved if you added a group policy to block the undesired routes? I am trying to avoid adding an additional mx .

I have to assign static IP addresses to multiple access points (70) . Is there an AP that puts ip address , subnet, gateway, dns....etc.... PS. Please don't ask why I have to use static IP addresses. I don't want to.

I have a combined network that I need to split in order to upgrade an MX100 to and MX450. I need to clone the configuration of the MX 100. If I split the network while it is active will any configurations be lost? Will clients be disrupted?

Our MX450 WAN IP is different than our uplink public IP . WAN IP is the address of our proxy server. We are using a static NAT on our FW upstream from the MX. Why would the WAN IP be different from the public uplink ?
