after doing some research it appears i am receiving a CG-Nat ip address. i might be wrong but i think the earlier hardware from Starlink did not use CG-NAT but this new modern hardware does. Im hoping that it will at least work with Site-to-site. Do you know if there is a way around CG-NAT ... View more

Starlink & client VPN

Hi all,  I have a client running 2 x WAN an Optus FTTN connection and then a Starlink as WAN2,  The client VPN is working with Optus but the connection is experiencing a lot of packet loss issues and we want to use Starlink (wan2) as the primary connection. I made the changes but then we lost access to the client VPN. I have the Starlink router in "Bypass" mode which I'm assuming is bridge mode. I get a WAN IP on the appliance status page and all looks good.  I have tried to configure the client VPN as the hostname and the Starlink IP    Has anyone actually had it working in the field?? Hi All, i am having an issue with a client. When their primary connection fails, the 3cx handsets then register with the fail over 4G connection which then turns them to junk (as typical 3/4G connections do)  Is there a way i can create a rule that they phones (mac address or ip address) can never use WAN2?? Si i have been reading the Apple resources.  This is the part that is going wrong.    For OS-based diagnostics: The UUT searches for and NetBoots to the OS test agent image from any available local NetBoot server. The UUT will send a BOOTP/NBSearch broadcast over its LAN to reach any available NetBoot server. The first NetBoot server on the LAN to hear that request will respond. The NetBoot server will send the OS test agent image file via TFTP and NFS over NetBoot. The UUT will restart and NetBoot into the OS test agent to run the AST 2 OS diagnostic. How would i see if something is being block during this process? ... View more

Hi All,  This is a bit odd and we have been going in circles.    We are an Apple service center. When we run Apple service diags through the MX it blocks it. We have tried to open the firewall but have spent a lot of time and still cannot get to work.  We have a permanent server on-prem and then the client machines come and go (customers machines)    Can we allocate a port (lan4) on the MX68 to be fully open? and then we run the server and client through port 4 to avoid data being blocked? Hi I have an MX68 and it is running fine on the primary link with VPN but when the primary link fails the VPN will not connect through the 4G fail over (telstra). The 4G modem (teltonika RUT240) connected to WAN2 has all its defaults set with no open ports.  Can the telstra connection be blocking it? Thanks in advance  Anthony ... View more

Hi All,  After some advice, I have set up an MX with a Fibre to the Node NBN Connection in Bridge mode.  the MX is on the subnet 10.0.0.0/24 and the MX address  is 10.0.0.138 I have enabled client VPN and given it the subnet 192.168.10.0/24   My clients can connect and ping/access some devices (non-windows computer devices, IE nas, phone system) but we cannot ping our file server or any other windows PCs.  I have created a firewall rule to test to allow all traffic from one subnet to the other.  Packet capture shows it hits the MX but no response from the device.  Any ideas? ... Hi All,  Just wondering if anyone that is an Apple auth repair agent is using Cisco firewalls? When we use Apple diagnostics the MX is blocking the communication back to our server.  I can supply all the information Apple has given me around it but I cannot seem to get through it.  Looking for any guidance  Cheers Anthony ... Hi everyone,  We are an Apple auth store and have an Apple server that runs diagnostics on client devices. before we installed our MX68 it would work perfect, but now the unit under test connects and then times out. Apple claims that our server needs full internet on port 80 or 443 to work. no forwarding is required.  Does anyone know how I can create a rule to suit? ... View more

Hi All,  I am having an internet connection issue between an MX68 and Draytek Vigor 2762n.  I have set the connection to always on and entered the Draytek into Full "Bridge" mode. The Cisco connection is set to "No VLAN tag" Direct and I have entered the static IP.  Every two hours the connection is dropping out and about half an hour later it comes back.  What should I do to start diagnosing the drop?  In the past, I have used the Draytek Vigor 130 and not had issues but the customer already had the Draytek 2762.  Thanks for any input.
