All, Since the last firmware update we are getting some issues on the switch policies. We have several cisco telephones in our worldwide company, and somehow the traffic is blocked on some phones so the do not register anymore to our call manager. We have set the parameter to bypass authentication but that does not seem to work anymore. Any ideas where to look now... I can see traffic go with wireshark towards the switch/phone, but the device/phone responds with a TCP retransmission... Thnx Ed Note. Hey, This is really weird behaviour... We use scripts in python to create complete sites within 5 minutes... Including making network, claim and add device, add vlan, add wireless and switch, and modify all... A complete site is done within 5 minutes (that includes automatic free IP range finder) I am using the github meraki module... installed with pip3 install meraki

Hello All, Still struggling with the createNetworkMerakiAuthUser API calls.. There is an option called emailPasswordToUser When set to True it should be able to include the password in the mail, however.... this is not true How can i sent a password or what am i doing wrong in this car... i get the confirmation that i can do all but no password in my mail message Also still no answer on my question on how to authorize and existing administrator for the use of a VPN client on a network

Hi, In my humble opnion you can not change the transmit power with just an API You need to change the rfProfile of that specific device (or create a new one) and the attach that profile to the AP https://developer.cisco.com/meraki/api-v1/#!get-network-wireless-rf-profiles Hope that helps Ed

Hello All, After a while (lots of API programming wth meraki, ServiceNow and Riverbed) I come up with a question regarding VPN Clients to a network... In the GUI i can do an update of a normal Administrator to be able to use the VPN client Security & SDWAN > Client VPN, select user and authorize him/her Now i want to do them same using the API however the updateNetworkMerakiAuthUser API call requires a merakiAuthUserId which us not the same as the userID from the admin. So how do i get the merakiAuthUserId of that specific administrator, so i can authorize him Thnx Ed

Hello All... I am in the process of converting all my scripts from 0.9 API to the V1 API. I have both libraries install on my python environment and that is working ... I have difficulty in finding the new API calls related to the old one. The relation between the Postman Documents which meraki refers to, and the API calls are virtually non existent. What i am looking for is some kind of table where i can see the V0 API call related to the new V1 API call. Like this : dashboard.devices.getNetworkDevices(def_network_id) -> dashboard.networks.getNetworkDevices(def_network_id) Or some kind of reference in that postman V1 rest calls to the matching meraki V1 API call. I am pretty sure you cannot change the IP addresses when a site is bound to a template.... There for you need to unbind, but then you loose a lot of details of the site,... Also wondering why you make your own definitions within python, simply use the meraki API and not use your own requests REST API calls and live is much easier.
