Hello Meraki Team, We had a Demo Meraki MX84 in our network .We purchased a new Meraki MX84. Now we planned to remove the existing Demo meraki MX 84 and Add New MX 84. All Configurations are completed in DEMO. How can i add new box and full configuration?? Please provide me steps??

Hello Meraki Team, i am planning a warm spare in meraki MX 84. i found doc regarding the configuration. from fro doc heatbeat setup was nor clear. What i can find is in Warm spare configuration i need to create a new vlan for heat beat , provide a subnet eg.1.1.10/24 and a vlan IP is given eg.1.1.1.1 so my doubts are does this vlan is common for both MX appliances. IP address are not the physical address of any hardware.its a ip address only for VLAN.?? make me clear if am wrong?? because i have done HA in Sophos , Fortinet and other vendors .this a different setup

I mean configuring part of heartbeat... i can add a new vlan for warm spare heartbeat.And network 1.1.1.0/24 .Mx Ip 1.1.1.1 . assign this vlan to port 4 connect port 4 between MX appliances. thats all correct?? do I need to add any IP address 1.1.1.2 in mx warm spare box ?? Or does it automatically syn??

Hello cmr, i have some doubts in step 5. For Use MX Uplinks IPs What i understand is i just need to add the secondary WAN in Configure warm Spare>>>WAN 1 shared IP. And for Use Virtual IPs i can add two more WAN IPs. So actually what is difference?? Also how can i add heatbeat to check Primary MX is down??

Hello cmr, thanks for the details. Much more details got cleared. In Use virtual uplink IPs Scenario::: In our scenario Service Provider1 WAN IP,1 LAN IP Pool(/29 Subnet). So for Provider1 i have 3 IP address free. But from provider2 i have only 1 single Public IP. So each Service provider at least 3 public IP to complete Warm Spare.?? In Use MX uplink IPs scenario::: For Each service provider 1 ip for MX WAN port 1 ip for warm spare MX WAN Port.

Hello cmr, Thanks for reply. What you meant by NAT.i need to add any additional appliance which support NAT before get to MX. or i have any option in MX itself. Adding new appliance practically not possible. Please reply.

I am confused in Cisco Meraki MX84 warm spare. i need Fully Hardware failover. i have 2 service provider. Both my service provider gave me only single WAN ip. In this case can i configure Warmspare with HA??? Looking through the document what i can find is i need to provide a shared ip from WAN 1 and WAN 2?? Please update??
