Hola @Ditra, Estaba observando tu captura y todo lo que aparece es tráfico unidireccional. Si tu no filtraste la captura, al parecer el tráfico de vuelta desde el servidor no le esta llegando a tu máquina. Si ese es el caso, te recomiendo tomar una captura en la LAN y WAN del MX para comparar los paquetes y asegurarte que el tráfico de vuelta le este llegando al cliente.

Hello @mugrene , If you are using default VLAN, then you should go to the clients you would like to use that group policy on and assign the group policy, you can do that in the client list and clicking on the client. Ensure that the group policy is either appending or overriding what you have in the default section, whatever is preferred for you. Let me know if that helps.

Hello @mugrenel, At this time, the content filtering section is applied to all the clients passing traffic through the MX. It does not have a configuration way to differentiate or schedule the filtering. However, it can be achieved using group policies ad mentioned previously. The change will be adding all the configuration you want to the group policy and override the default content filtering, or appending the previous default config with the new categories you would like to block. Regarding the scheduling, the group policies allow you to set the time when the group policy will be implemented. Selecting the time and assigning that group policy to your VLAN, it will make lunch and breaks better for the users. Hello dheberlee, You can use the API to find the devices with AMP enabled. Going through the API docs on the dashboard, you will see the API call "Malware Settings". You can use this to identify if that device has AMP enable or not. The output using postman should look like this.

At the moment, I do not think that there is a workaround for that issue. The good part about Meraki Support is that you can create a case and if there is a bug identified, they can attach your case and provide an update when the bug is fixed. I would recommend you do that and you will definitely know when the problem you are facing is fixed.

Hello DHAnderson, Probably the Native VLAN configuration is not allowing the Meraki Switch to reach out to the internet properly. I would go and configure the uplink port in the local status page of the Meraki switch as an access port in any VLAN (or the VLAN that is configured in the upstream router if it has one) and provide a static IP address to ensure it is not expecting any trunk negotiation and just send regular traffic as any endpoint. If that does not work, then you will need to configure both ports the same. Let me know if that works...

Hello @Johnfnadez, The Security Appliances do not limitation regarding the number of VLANs allowed. That will depend on the memory and the CPU utilization and other features you are running as well (content filtering, threat protections, VPN tunnels, etc). What kind of issues are you having in those VLANs: - Is the MX not providing IP addresses? + Did you take pcaps to see if there are DHCP Discovers and Offers? - Does the MX say that there are not available IP addresses? + Did you check the DHCP section in the Appliance Status and the IP reservations in the DHCP section? - The MX does not provide IP leases at all? + Did you check the DHCP configuration for that VLAN? Good that you have the pcap, I notice the following: - There is no DHCP request coming from the Meraki device + If it is not in the pcap, could be that the Meraki device does not like the offer or the packet itself, check the MAC and VLAN info in that packet - The Meraki device is not getting ping replies. Therefore, it will flag an error message such as "Bap IP assignment" or "Bad connectivity". - The Meraki device is sending DNS request but there is no DNS replies. Therefore, you will see the "DNS misconfigured" The behavior you are having is not just related on getting an IP address, you should ensure all the traffic coming from the device, the upstream device is able to forward the reply. Everything points out you have an issue upstream. Let me know what you find in your investigation.

Regarding the pcap: - I would recommend you to download the pcap instead of looking at it on the dashboard. + Inside the pcap, take a loot at the DNS traffic and ensure it has the proper Src:Dst MAC, IP and VLAN. Regarding the "Bad IP assignment configuration": - This can be addressed in the same pcap as well, verifying Src:Dst MAC, IP and VLAN of the packets - Since the device is getting IP from DHCP, ensure you do not have any static IP assignment. If there is a discrepancy, you will have that message. The pcaps can show the discrepancy as well. Your best choice to find the solution is having a pcap in the upstream port and check the traffic from the device. 99% of these problems come from configuration of the static IP assignment, and VLAN. You can try as well changing the DNS to google and check if the issue persists.

Hola @BaxterGisi , Tu tienes algun SSID configurado para usar la VLAN 124 con un DHCP server? Si tienes los troncales configurados como VLAN nativa 121 y los APs configurados como DHCP sin nada adicional, los APs tendran una IP de VLAN 121. Pero si los clientes conectados en los SSIDs piden una IP en VLAN 124 y no la reciben, puedes ver el mensaje que VLAN 124 tiene problemas. Me dejas saber si ese es tu problema

If you are receiving DNS error message, focus completely on that. Take pcaps in the uplink port of the switch and follows the DNS server traffic. That could be for two main reasons: - The switch is not receiving DNS responses from the DNS server. You should see the DNS requests form the switch and follow that traffic to understand where the problem is coming from. - The switch is receiving DNS responses with a different VLANs ID and it is dropping the traffic (very unlikely). Everything should be clear with a pcap. If you like, you can upload the pcap here and I can help you to analyze it.

If the WAN of the MX is not getting an IP, probably something with DHCP is not good. I would reboot the MX to trigger the DHCP process again. If that does not work, you can take pcaps upstream to identify if the MX is sending DHCP discovers to the switch requesting an IP address. If you do not see those packets after a reboot or factory reset, it is time to call Support.

Hello chwhite, The MX450 can work as a firewall depending on how you are connecting it to the network. You have two options in the Addressing and VLANs section ( Routed or Passthrough). Could you please mention which option you have? Additionally, all the MXs need an internet connection to talk to the cloud and be managed on the dashboard. The MX will use the WAN interface to get an IP address to reach out to the cloud. You should ensure that the WAN interface is connected to the internet. After that the MX can act as a firewall from all the traffic that is traversing the device, could be from the LAN side to WAN or inter-VLAN traffic. To help you in this one, we need to bring the MX online first.After that, we can continue talking on how to setup the firewall 🙂 .
