i have also just purchase the merakiGo security gateway / switch / outdoor AP , i was very concerned by  this thread , does the gateway not support 1:1 nat forwarding ? if it doesn't will there be future firmware updates to support this as this is very in demand by all small business which is the target consumer for the Go product line. ... Hi @olavrb    I see it is still not listed as fixed on the aforementioned websites, but I do believe a patch has been released and made available for the GR for version 27.7 and beyond. I will work to ensure this information is distributed accordingly, as well as circle back here if I find that this is not the case.   Most of our users are on 27.7 firmware, but if you have yet to be upgraded our support team would be more than happy to help. You can get in touch by opening a support case in the mobile app.     ... View more

Hello Delfuego,   Unfortunately we do not offer an extended warranty service for Meraki Go. Meraki are committed to and continue to invest in Meraki Go. Greetings SO and all on the thread,   Supporting VPN can mean a wide range of things. To dispel any existing confusion:   The GX product cannot be a VPN end-point for client devices or site to site VPN. The GX does allow VPN traffic to pass through it. What this means is you cannot client VPN to your GX from a remote location, and this would be considered a feature request (or a wish in the app). It is also not possible to link GX's together in a site-to-site VPN topology.   However, nothing is stopping clients on your GX network from establishing VPN connections outbound.   As an example, while connected to my Meraki Go full stack, I am able to establish a VPN tunnel with my open VPN server and reach tools and resources hosted on that remote network.   I hope this post helps clear any confusion around what the GX can and cannot do regarding VPN. ... Hi Gamergomer,   Based on what you describe needing, Meraki Go is absolutely right for your coffee shop.    GR10 will support all the things you mentioned below. You can setup separate networks so your guests can't see your work devices. Bandwidth controls gives you a few options, where you can set a limit for each individual device that connects and also further tweak the bandwidth limit to limit certain application types, e.g. social media, file sharing, online backup and online video, which are typically the worst offenders for taking all of your bandwidth. We don't support directly capping the total bandwidth allocated to an individual network, but the other methods mentioned above can be used to achieve the same outcome.    There is no paid subscription required, but if you have the Meraki Go Security Gateway there is an optional security subscription that provides phishing and malware protection powered by Cisco Umbrella DNS security.    Regards Lee  ... Any Update to this?  I just connected my gx20 router to my Spectrum Cable modem last night.  I'm able to get everything working through the router and the Meraki-Go app is seeing the devices and types of traffic.  My problem is slightly different from the original poster.  When I go to the app, under Hardware, it shows that my device is alerting (although the LED is white) and when I go into the device, it shows "Has never connected to the Meraki cloud".  It doesn't show an IP address for the device either.   Any ideas?  I have not rebooted the spectrum cable modem. ... Re: Can I directly connect MerakiGo access point to the Modem

You can directly connect the modem, but the type of modem will determine your setup options. If the modem is acting as a NAT router and issuing private IP addresses (listed below), the you can run your WiFi networks/SSIDs in bridge mode. This allows devices across the network to communicate with each other. If the modem is issuing public IP addresses, then your WiFi Networks/SSIDs will be configured in NAT mode, which will not allow devices on the network communicate with each other.   Private IP Ranges 10.0.0.0 to 10.255.255.255. 172.16.0.0 to 172.31.255.255. 192.168.0.0 to 192.168.255.255.   More Information https://documentation.meraki.com/Go/Meraki_Go_-_When_Bridge_Mode_is_not_Available_(Auto_NAT) ... I have a full stack of Meraki Go and Meraki equipment. The Go access point does not have scheduling or most of the features of a MR. That said, you can create an isolated guest network, set usage limits and get email notification when equipment goes off line. The firewall subscription gives you Cisco Umbrella, but you cannot disable content filtering. There is no Snort for traffic inspection, but there are layer 7 rules in the access point. The switches support POE, and cable testing, but not isolation. I know this is just a smattering comparison. Let me know if you have any specific questions. - Dave ... View more

Hi RBAUTISTA,   The more important consideration is topology. We generally recommend a star topology, with no more than one hop between the main access point and the mesh repeaters. Multi-hop paths are possible, but come at a fairly significant performance hit. In theory you could mesh up to the maximum supported number of APs in a Meraki Go network (20), however this would not be recommended, as it would not make efficient use of available WiFi channels and we would not expect a good experience for devices connecting to the WiFi.   It might be worth seeing if one of our local partners can help with assessing the feasibility of what you are attempting, or if the regular Meraki product might be a better fit https://www.meraki-go.com/c/r/merakigo/en/us/all-partners.html   Regards Lee ... Hello JW7630,   You can find details on how to configure a splash page and redirect here https://documentation.meraki.com/Go/Meraki_Go_-_WiFi_Access_Point_Feature_Details#Access_Control   Meshing will automatically configure. Claim the Access Point through the app, then plug it into power, but don't connect via Ethernet. Of course you have to already have at least 1 Access Point already turned on and connected via ethernet to your router.     Meraki Go automatically uses both 2.4 and 5 GHz for a configured network/SSID.    Lee ...
