All the MR18, MS220 and MX80 at latest levels. At home PC is fast on Realtek RTL8188ETV Bring PC into work and SLOWW and it it very near the MR66 AP. Plugged the PC into MS220 Ethernet and PC is fast again. Dashboard shows no errors PC is NEW

Correct no use of IPV6 for this site and the printer is Wi-Fi enabled but used only locally by the one user. Many thanks.. will add these changes to my list of site based touch points for the many changes I need to do.. Thank you.

Doing some Dashboard checking and noticed two TOP clients are (older) HP printers. The building is closed so nobody onsite. And both printers were recently updated for their software/firmware via the front control panel. Printout only comes from the two local PC owners printing their output between 8AM - 5PM.. Curious what traffic is flowing

I inherited the site and still uncovering things. So will focus on moving over any devices left on two remaining 2950s to the MS220s. I also had one PC (be it Windows 7) that was only connecting on the Meraki MS220 port at 10M even thought NIC and Meraki are 1GB AUTO. I forced both NIC and Meraki port to 1GB FULL and so far looks OK (the latest LAN driver and BIOS were installed).

The switch in question actually resides in an upstairs office. The earlier AP cable issue was from the cable run ceiling height across the shop floor and terminates at an RJ jack. Then an RJ-45 cable from that jack through the wall to the outside mounted MR-66 AP. I cleaned the RJ jack and RJ-45 cable high up at the ceiling level. It terminates back in the office at the patch panel and then to Port 3 on the MS220P where now Port 22 has the issue since the time the Port 3 AP was re-enable by me after cleaning. For this issue before cleaning the AP was going online and offline every 20 minutes.

I just confirmed (Cisco docs) the 2950s only do 100M ports. I used them back ages ago but on site here they are managed by 3rd party (I managed the Meraki line). I see the Meraki log had "green" status so the switch port on 2950 is probably flopping/etc. I will force MS220 port tonight after closing and check the logs / status in Dashboard and update here.

Current version: MS 11.22 All ports set for AUTO.. I had wiring issue on Port 3 that I cleared via cleaning RJ and Cable.. after Re-enabling Port 3 (connected to MR-66 AP), Port 22 (connected to Cisco 2950 port) downgraded speed to 100M and now says "High proportion of Ethernet collisions" . The 2950 has PC and printer clients and two small Ethernet 1GB switches. The 2950 port to the MS220 is AUTO. Trying to figure / isolate the source of the collisions.

For @HitoshiH The Meraki APs all connect to MS220s. the MX80 was connected LAN port to MS220 Ethernet port and the Internet port was placed into the already existing network VLAN port on a Cisco 2950 @PhilipDAthCorrect the MX80 does not connect direct to ISP router but attaches to the VLAN on 2950 switch. The VAR basically placed the Meraki hardware "on top" of existing local LAN that had no wireless and ONLY static IP devices. They left majority of MS220 Ethernet ports empty sitting next to the the 2950 switches (yes those OLD 2950s!) Going forward we are upgrading ISP router company from 50M to 100M (Viptela) and assume I should connect MX80 Internet port direct to Viptela and then the LAN port of MX80 into the MS220 VLAN port ?

I have 1 MX-80, 4 MS220 and 16 APs and around 125 devices (PCs, tablets, printers, phones etc) When looking at CLIENTS in the Dashboard I now see the two MX80 interface (WAN / LAN) as the top two USAGE clients. Before today I would not see those interfaces as number 1 and 2 top USAGE I would see PCs as top USAGE clients. What is different is that I moved the MX80 WAN cable from one switch in the network to another to consolidate switches. I figure maybe this is correct since ALL clients would reach the MX80 WAN port via the MX80 LAN port accounting for both to be #1 and #2 usage clients ?

I show the MR66 Release Date 14-JUL-2014 and I think the MS220 PoE line was selling before that date. But I figure I'm good but I guess a PoE injector is not visible to the Meraki Cloud Dashboard even if I had them ?

I inherited an already installed (10/2015) Meraki one building network. I have been doing the physical walk around inventory as well as using the Meraki Dashboard. Using the dashboard menus, I see no reference to any type of power injector. The MR66 APs are mounted outside up on the building so I can do a visible "reverse" search backwards. Online documentation for the MR66 AP says ==> The MR66 access point can be powered using either a third-party 802.3af PoE switch or the Meraki 802.3af PoE injector (sold separately). Why does Meraki documentation not reference using a Meraki PoE switch like my MS220 ? Phil
