The screenshots are from RC's Network Readiness Assessment (NRA) test that we purchased when we signed on with RC. The 2 tests you posted links to are different. At this location we will have approx. 50 phones, mostly soft phones. Planning on 15 max consecutive call volume. I see you are also in the RC Community, I found this doc there and I followed the setup requirements. FYI, you might have to sign in to RC's Community to see this document. https://netstorage.ringcentral.com/guides/meraki_mx64.pdf I'm going round and round with RC to figure this out. FYI, our test calls have been very good. I did set client bandwidth limits and I have traffic shaping for the RC networks. I'll post when we get this figured out.

We are not using RingCentral yet, just 2 test numbers, they are doing a Network Assessment before we implement to all users. Our internet service is 75/15 The up speed is low but the jitter did improve with the IPS turned off. Summary report for the last day. Looks like we could be hitting our max upload bandwidth?

With IPS enabled Without IPS Disabled IPS on the MX (AMP is still on). These shots are from RingCentral's Network Assessment Tool. So it looks like IPS was impacting the jitter of the voice traffic. With no way of segmenting IPS to never "scan" packets sent to the supernets of RingCentral, I guess IPS stays off? @BrandonSDo you have IPS turned on with your MX devices? If so, do you have any voice quality issues? Thanks for your links to the RC network tests!

Hello All, We are doing a Network assessment with RingCentral. After a 5 day assessment they have noticed high jitter with packets coming into my network. They say it is caused by an IDS/IPS system. I do have IPS turned on with a Balanced ruleset. RingCentral says to exclude their subnets from being inspected by the IPS. Meraki support says that is not possible only URL's can be whitelisted. Does anyone use RingCentral as their hosted voice solution? Have you found a work around to still enable IPS? Thanks, Jon1

The PowerShell script is working on Windows 10 machines. Win 7 doesn't recognize the add-vpnconnection command. Do I need to add a module to PowerShell? I am running as Administrator. Or is there a different script for Win 7 machines? Thanks, jon1

PhilipDAth, Thanks for the link. I'm using the VPN setup script and it is working great. Questions: 1) If I use Meraki cloud authentication do I need the -DNSSuffix "[insert domain name]"? What is this for? 2) Meraki's documentation says to select "Require encryption (disconnect if server declines). Your script uses -EncryptionLevel Optional. If I change it to -EncryptionLevel Required, I get an error saying / The current encryption selection requires EAP or MS-CHAPv2 logon security methods. PAP and CHAP do not support Encryption settings 'Required' or 'Maximum'. : The parameter is incorrect. Should I be worried about using the Optional encryption level? Thanks, Jon1

Hello all, I have a 1921 (MPLS) Router with G0/0 and G0/1, each interface is connected to an MX100 in a HA pair. I also have each MX100 connected to an internet link with Auto VPN enabled. If the Master in the HA pair goes down, How will my MPLS traffic flow (from the new master, previously the spare) to the 1921 on a now different interface, on the 1921, with a different ip address? I can't assign G0/0 and G0/1 the same ip address. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Jon1

Update: I contacted support and after 2 1/2 hours they determined the device was faulty. Meraki shipped a new device overnight with an RMA label. I made a test network and added the new device to that network. With the new device, I connected it as DHCP to a Verizon router. It was able to reach the Meraki cloud and update firmware and it's config. I then installed the device in the rack. Through the local status page I configured the uplink static ip address. It connected to the Meraki cloud just fine. This device is the spare in a HA pair, so I then removed it from the test network and added it to the correct network. At this time the new device wouldn't connect to the Meraki cloud so I power cycled the device. BOOM, both were connected to the cloud but both were the Master because I did not connect them to the LAN yet. After connecting to the LAN my primary was the Master and the second device was the spare. Hope this helps someone.
