@vcelli Do you know when the Verizon LTE Certification will be complete allowing the MG21 to be used on VZ network? I see you said you were working w/ them early in February of this year. Are there any updates? I still see on the datasheet that until certification obtained will not work on VZ network - https://documentation.meraki.com/MG/MG_Datasheets/MG21%2F%2F21E_Datasheet#Physical_Specifications   Thanks. ... @CJ_Ramsey -- " As far as scheduling upgrades, you can do this on a per network or per device type basis. One option here would be to move the AP you wish to upgrade to a segregated 'Test' network and then upgrade only that Test network."   So you say you can schedule upgrades on a per network or per device type basis above but your example is a segregated "test" network which would just be on a per-network basis... or am I missing something? Is there no way to tag/mark/etc. a particular device(s) in 1 network that you want to not be upgraded on the firmware upgrade schedule or to stay on a certain revision of firmware?    Thanks in advance.  ... @tantony below copied from Meraki documentation: so you can easily see what you need to do with the key.      Orders can be claimed from the  Organization Inventory  section in the dashboard, via Order Number. @nst1 Anything to do with Meraki's Trial Licenses has shown to be a major pain in my experience. Trials don't work the same as regular revenue licensing in many different ways. And if you're on a trial order of devices that you have to separately license with revenue per-device licensing it gets really fun! lol... ... View more

@MerakiShawn This isn't related to per-device licensing. But I am held up on a big project and we're stuck on a licensing problem. We had a trial offer sent for a set of devices and we had the trial period extended until later in February. However in the dashboard where these devices are provisioned it only shows the original expiration date. When Meraki Account Manager extends a trial license is there something that has to be done manually to initiate the extension? A new license key to be entered or anything? I can't find much online in regards to trial/demo licensing and I've emailed our Meraki rep(s) but haven't heard back yet. Do you happen to know any details on this? Or am I going to need to open a support ticket in the mean time? ... View more

@Edgard I know there has to be some amount of upstream/upload bandwidth. If you're not getting enough it could be why it's failing or never getting executed out of the queue. On the device status of the Camera I would check to make sure it's communicating with the dashboard properly and there are no weird things in the event log/history.   Also  TCP/30001 has to be open to export I believe. I would probably check and see if there's any type of firewall rules in place that could affect this maybe see what you're getting from the Camera's IP on some wirehark pcaps.   Do you have anti-virus on your local PC that could be hanging up any of these processes? I've seen that happen before as well. ... View more

API provisioning, using cellular as WAN 2 interface on the MX, HA/Spare MX configuration/troubleshooting etc. We are testing a lot of new Meraki stuff including the cameras, MX, bringing some cellular stuff into the mix, throughout this we are finding some peculiar problems within the dashboard, such as the primary MX showing as the "Current Master" while the spare device shows status of "Current Master" as well.    We also test out a lot of the SNMP capabilities within the dashboard/devices. To ensure we can monitor/alert on our Meraki devices out in the field.  ... View more

As well as focusing on security as a whole from an organization standpoint - taking a step back and trying to figure out how we can best make sure our service offerings are as secure as possible in a data driven world where vulnerabilities in the technology housing this data can lead to huge losses (monetary, reputation, customer base etc.) ... @BrechtSchamp  Yeah I think it is a 7 day grace period on unclaiming the licenses I did read that somewhere I believe. I'm not sure what the case is for trials, I can't find much information on them so that's why I came here! Yeah well I need the devices/licenses to be removed to simulate a test scenario of a new install and to create that second network, I can't manually move them into a network that doesn't exist yet.    In our testing scenario the API creates the Org and then the devices are added to it, in our first test scenario all worked fine at first but then our second set of devices the MX got added to the existing network in the org and didn't create a new second network for it.    Sorry if that's confusing, it's the end of the day for me lol.   I'm not sure I can move the devices to a network to accomplish what I need to here.   Thanks. ... I've done some digging online here in the community, on Meraki Documentation and some other sources but am still trying to figure this out:   Can I un-claim devices utilizing a trial license from an organization we have for testing and claim them back to the same organization with that same trial license? Or would we need revenue licenses to do this?   I see on https://documentation.meraki.com/Getting_Started/Meraki_Free_Trials  that you can move trials to another organization following these steps: un-claim, contact support to have them un-link your trial & claim trial into the NEW organization.   So: can you accomplish the un-claim/re-claim without Meraki support intervention if it's the same organization or will this not work?    Note for context: we are testing an automated claiming process via API and having problems with the MX devices being provisioned into the same organization and not separately like we want.   Thanks in advance. ... Hi Dave,   This is kind of related to your reply to this answer regarding Dashboard IP space... I'm trying to get a packet capture of a test meraki network and get verification/proof of how often it reaches out to the dashboard. I see the IP addresses in the help > Firewall Info area on the dashboard. But I'm trying to figure out more details on this.    When I run a packet capture on the switches in the dashboard I do see my switch reaching out to IP 209.206.58.101 but it's showing up over 100 times within just 1 minute of the packet capture. I don't see this 209 address space or any of the others when I run the packet capture on the MX/Security Appliance. So does it constantly send TCP/UDP packets to the 209 address? Or is there a time interval or another IP I'm missing?   Is there another way to accomplish what I'm trying to do? Or a whitepaper with details what rate the dashboard reaches out to the devices/vice versa. I know I read somewhere that it uses 1kbps or less on a Meraki document to monitor things and keep in contact with the dashboard etc.    Thanks in advance. ... View more

Digital Transformation to me means, using technology in new ways in which it wasn't used before and/or automating things that were previously done manually. It is something that is extremely relevant and at the pace that technology evolves in this day and age constantly changing. At my organization it is very important and we are working to try to automate things and use technology as efficiently as possible to better serve our customers and utilize everyone's time more efficiently. ... CMR,   No - it's not an ISP gateway or any IP address that we can recognize. I think the MX device is corrupted or something, when I do a factory reset it doesn't require me to reconfigure the IP address information at http://setup.meraki.com   From the dashboard point of view I get "disabled gateway - bad connection" errors on the timeline view where I can see where it lost connectivity during the factory "reset." Any ideas of anything else to try?   Thanks. ... View more

Yeah - that is not the case here. LAN interfaces are all set to be LAN. I've verified that. Even when I set the WAN IP as static. I'll refresh my meraki dashboard and still see it flipping back to another .209 IP address that I've never configured on it. It has been factory reset as well, but I'm thinking that the factory reset didn't actually complete, or is it a possibility that the settings are inherited from the dashboard? The MX was previously in another lab and shipped here to our lab. Does the device need to be removed by using the "Remove appliance from network" and re-added? Or am I reading too far into that? ... Phillip,   I realize this is an older thread. But I'm looking around online trying to find a resolution for a bizarre issue I'm having with a Meraki MX60W. There is only 1 WAN/Internet Port on the back of the device. However on the dashboard - I'm seeing WAN 2 interface showing as "ready" with a strange IP  208.xxx.xxx.xxx that I'm not familiar with (MX device is on 192.168.227 subnet.) I have only the WAN port plugged in to my routable switch interface leading out to my firewall w/ internet access and I've verified no ports are being blocked that the Meraki needs to get cloud access etc.   There's nothing else plugged in, so I'm not sure why the WAN 2 interface is getting any activity or picking up an IP address?    Also in the dashboard at the top under my MX it just says "Bad internet connection" in red. But I'm able to see the stats, see the device on the dashboard etc. The MX has received a DHCP IP address I've verified that and I can get to the setup.meraki page when directly plugged into one of the LAN ports on the MX.   Any help would be appreciated, thanks. ...
