MX60s set as passthrough inside MX84s not passing traffic

Greetings all,   First let me start with the layout. 17 locations connected via Hub VPN and every site is essentially Modem > MX > Switches > Clients. Working on installing a new phone system that has redundancy however the PBX units can only talk to each other via layer 2.   So as a temporary solution I thought I could use an MX60 in passthrough in each location with a network of 10.1.99.0/29. I've set the static routes on each side so there is bidirectional communication, however I'm still unable to have ICMP packets traverse and be successful.   Is this something the appliances are capable of or am I just going barking mad ?   Thanks for the help in advance. ... I feel like my 2018 goals just keep growing by the day!   Where to begin..... ah yes I can't forget my trusty side kicks Fox & Hound to help me find the two end of a wire or port. As I take on this fateful quest of sleighing the Medusa of instability and horrible foresighted network. I will admit though that I am planning on enlisting outside help in this quest, so that it's as perilous to a minimum, and having a brand new full Meraki stake drop shipped to my many different locations. While I wait for the C-level "gods" to bless my quest I sit and plan the trek of configuration hoping to implore my dearest friend VLAN to aid in the configuration of this trek. So that as I can got to each stopping point and sleigh the Medusa's head that is waiting for me. The Main Medusa !   ... View more

Oh, now I'm fully understanding the question. The only place I know that you can specify which protocol is with the firewall on layer 3 and layer 7. May have to submit a wish for this grand idea.  ... View more

Hi Lomonaco,   In the traffic shaping menu under the traffic shaping rules you can create a new rule there. Inside that rule, you can do a custom expression that will allow you to specify the ports you need.    Hope this helps,   Bearded_Dozer ... View more
