Requesting to have the ability to Delay of OS updates until we want the OS installed or at least longer than 90days IE 120days

So currently because of IOS 12 and the default changing of location changes in screentime/restrictions i have now delayed the update 90 days , My questions is if i keep changing the delay for example on the 89th day change it to 30 days and than on the 29th day and so on like that could i keep delaying the update

IF you had Restrictions lock set in place the good thing is the password remains Valid,, bad part is if you had Location set to Do not allow changes its Resets. You would think Apple being as smart as they are , Serials should be recognized as DEP so these kind of bugs don't happen

So i just updated my Ipad to IOS 12 , now it appears the Restrictions are gone under General settings , We depend on this alot because of the Location Service can be configured to Don't allow Changes which prevents the anyone changing the SM Meraki app to not allow Location tracking

obviously do the recommended Lost mode, but if it was me i would also change the Lock/homescreen to a Mission Impossible Meme saying this device will self destruct in 10 seconds

So i have about 120 Ipads in the field ,, they are used in Schools, now mind you i do not work the the school system , but i had to contact them for access to the schools wifi , Obviously i use Meraki Sm but the school use Aruba for their AP's they had to give me a Certificate which i added to a profile and then i also setup a WIFI config with in that same profile , they also provided a username and pw which is pushed out to all of the Ipads ,, ive also done the same this to our chromebooks but that is done only through the Google Admin Console On other Ipads not in schools i have Multiple Wifi profiles for other staff ipads , to connect with out having to worry about SSID and pw,, it either autoconnects or they just select which one and push on the ssid ID and it connects i know this doesn't directly answer your question , but it is possible to push wifi profiles out

Hey folks, I have a Managed ipad mini, that was setup before i took over the SM, they allowed a generic icloud account set up on the ipad , the password is nowhere to be found . Is there anyway to wipe this ipad mini of the icloud account, i have tried erase device on SM , but it brings me back to using the icloud account ,, resetting the pw only send a email to the icloud acct that no one has the PW to any help is much appreciated

As the others have said , No the UN/PW cant be pushed but i chimed in to caution to make sure that your O365 licensing supports the use of the apps,, i just dealt with this yesterday so that is why i am saying something ,, our staff can log in via O365 portal through safari and use word,excel and so on but if they download the app because of our Licencing with O365 the apps are not supported

So had a employee drop a ipad in the pool , its only a managed IPAD so i am assuming it has license but was never put through DEP,, what is the proper way to remove it from Meraki and restore the license to be used on a different device

yea took a few Wipes but it finally corrected itself,, i put this IPAd through the ringer with testing for the community and for my program

90% of my Ipads say pushed and are in correct working order ,, but the one that says assigned is my test ipad that has similar setting assigned to make sure everything is working on my ipads out in the field ,,, any idea why it says ASSIGNED verses pushed

this is all on supervised either wise it wont work since the IOS Web content filter is for supervised devices only

@jared_f @Jordanw hold on a second i figured it out ,,,,,, goto IOS web Content filter then block just one site andy site say www.facebook.com,, now make sure the ipads have the updated profile then try to goto facebook on safar obviously it will says its blocked now goto where PRIVATE would normally be and now its gone

ok i blew away all my restriction and now i have it back (privacy option) ,, i have a meeting for about a hour and i will see if i was just overlooking something ,, but it could of been just a ipad glitch because i put this IPAD through the ringer when it come to testing settings,,,

So im not even seeing the option for Private browsing on my test IPAD in Safari ,,, either i have a setting somewhere or i am a idiot lol
