You can perform the reset on MX to clear the DHCP lease. I just did it on my Z3 and it worked. Please take a note that there will be a down time if you reset the MX.

We have deployed ISE in our environment and we fully setup Radius authentication from MR53s. We also have MX for home VPN and would like to setup radius authentication but it has different options then MR53s. Is there a different way to setup radius authentication on MX devices? Please provide a step-by-step document if there is available any.

Yes. It should upgrade once it connected to the cloud. I was in the same situation when i was upgrading the security appliances.

I have one MR53 that is going offline intermittently. when i do shut/no shut on switch port it stays up for a bit and then goes offline. Could not find the root cause. Below are more details for you to help and understand the issue. =================================================== Troubleshoot performed : 1. used another port on same blade - no luck. 2. used different blade - no luck. 3. replaced the cable - no luck. 4. connected different working AP on same port - works fine. 5. connected faulty AP to working AP port - no luck. =================================================== Pic-1 - shows up for long period of time. In the morning suddenly it went offline. Pic-2 - shows Event log of the AP. Pic-3 - below is from Switch log. (interface Gi1/16 where the AP is connected. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mar 6 08:07:07: %ILPOWER-7-DETECT: Interface Gi1/16: Power Device detected: Cisco/IEEE PD Mar 6 08:07:07: %C6K_POWER-SP-1-PD_HW_FAULTY: The device connected to port 1/16 has a hardware problem. Power is turned off on the port. The company where I am working has multiple offices as well as a number of teleworkers, which can make networking and security monitoring a challenge. The Cisco Meraki wireless networking solution, lets the Network Team easily manage the disparate networks from anywhere and troubleshooting. The old days of supporting our teleworkers’ personal home routers are gone. Let me say, what a relief! Implementation has been smooth, and the integration with existing Cisco systems has given the client options for future equipment upgrades when they’re needed. I am completely satisfied with the Cisco Meraki wireless networking implementation. Support has been great, and I have been able to reduce the amount of time I spend configuring and managing the network. And that allows me to spend more time working on performance tuning and monitoring our network.

My 2018 goals are : 1. Don't let Network down for longer time. 2. Providing continuous WiFi access to clients using MR53. 3. Keep learning more and more about Meraki... 4. Fine tuning the existing Network... 5. Work ethically and hard but learn to say NO when it is to much.

Meraki is to designed to do client balancing if required. Client Balancing is enabled by default on every MR access point. Client Balancing is compatible with all client device types and uses a combination of Meraki-proprietary and industry-standard techniques to gather information and steer clients. Client Balancing may be disabled on the Radio Settings page if the Administrator prefers.(I would not prefer to disable the Client Balancing.....) https://documentation.meraki.com/MR/Other_Topics/Client_Balancing

We have 70 MR53 APs in single network. I need to do some troubleshoot with one of the AP. How to put individual AP into maintenance mode so the Meraki cloud don't send an email as an alert email for that AP?

Advanced Malware Prevention (AMP) inspects all HTTP file downloads through a Security Appliance and blocks/allows file to be downloaded based on threat intelligence salvaged from the AMP cloud. Intrusion Detection and Prevention Intrusion detection strengthen all packets flowing between the LAN and Internet interfaces as well in-between VLANs and records the produced alerts to the Security Report. Intrusion prevention blocks all the traffic that is identified as malicious, rather than just generating alerts. Whitelisting signatures You can create list of specific signatures by clicking Whitelist an IDS signature. Any signatures for which matching traffic has been seen by the appliance will appear in the Select an Option drop-down so that you can select which signature or signatures you wish to whitelist. Security Report The report delivers you a graphical depiction of Intrusion Detection events in your network.
